Great Robotic Vacuum with Incredible Features
Just received the vacuum few days ago that I purchased as part of a Black Friday discount. Spent countless hours researching the options and features out there so I knew what I wanted. Problem was everything was way more than what I wanted to spend. Was interested in a vacuum that had mopping capabilities and self cleaning features while including exceptional navigation and reliable object recognition. The Mova on discounted price under $600 stood out.
Not much in terms of material and reviews on this product. Did see a video on Youtube done by a Polish reviewer who gave it a great rating.
Also my research showed that Mova is related to Dreame which is under the parent company Xiaomi. Based on my experience with a Xiaomi / Roborock S50 running with no issues after 6 years, I decided to give it a try.
Mapping of my first floor was quick and very accurate. First vacuum / mopping run was impressive although seemed to not do so well on object recognition and kept running over my cables. After going into the settings I noticed that the AI feature for object recognition needed to be turned on. After enabling it everything got much better. A lot of features and settings to tweak if needed or you can just have the CleanGenius AI do the work for you. Overall extremely impressed with the vacuum and the associated app.
From my research it seems the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra robot is equivalent to the Dreame X40 Ultra. I am hoping that most of the accessories are shared amongst both devices. Ordered some bags which which are designed for the Dreame X40 and they fit perfectly

Holy Mova – Iâm in love!
I canât rave enough about the MOVA P10 Pro Ultraâit has completely transformed how I clean my home! With an astonishing 13,000Pa suction power, this little powerhouse easily handles pet hair, dirt, and dust from my three pups. It doesnât just vacuum; it deep-cleans! The auto mop washing and drying feature ensures my floors are spotless without me lifting a finger, and the 10mm mop lifting technology makes transitioning between hard floors and carpet seamless.
One of my favorite features is the onboard camera. I can check on my dogs when Iâm away, whether Iâm out running errands or traveling, giving me peace of mind and a way to stay connected to my fur babies. The 360° obstacle avoidance is flawlessâno more worrying about it bumping into furniture or missing spots.
I used to spend over an hour every day sweeping and mopping, but now this incredible device gives me that time back. The self-emptying and water refill system means I donât have to constantly monitor it. The voice and app control make it easy to operate even when Iâm not home.
If youâre a pet owner or just want to reclaim your time from constant cleaning, the MOVA P10 Pro Ultra is an absolute game-changer. Itâs worth every penny!
Sadly, I disposed of my first robot vacuum after day two of Mova ownership and gift my second unit to my parents. Bye bye Shark!

Extremely Feature-Rich, but Expensive
At $1100 at the time of ordering, this is hard to recommend, even with all of the ultra features. Shortly after I ordered this through Vine, I noticed that they started either lowering the price or offering huge coupons ($300 to $600 off). This is an annoying thing about Vine; companies don’t seem to care if they overprice things to Vine members (I think they often price them higher just to entice Vine members). But these items aren’t free, as taxes have to be paid on them. And it makes it more difficult for Vine members to review items. At $1100, I can’t recommend this. But at $550, it’s obviously more attractive.
Even at $550, I think I’d look elsewhere for a vacuum/mop combo. My two main reasons are:
1) I don’t need all the extra crazy features. For example, you can tell this device to take pictures of your pets throughout the day, and send you notifications when it does. 2) I’m not sure of the availability of replacement parts. As of this review, I can’t find anything branded as Mova that fits the bill. *However, the same company that makes this robot also apparently makes the “Dreamed” brand, so there is hopefully some compatibility between the two. It’s not fun having to research it to figure that out, however.
Now to the functionality – it works great as a vacuum. It has a high def camera which it uses in real time to map out your floor plan, and it does this very accurately. While it vacuums, it uses this camera to avoid obstacles like the aforementioned pets. It also identifies other things, such as cleaning supplies (like a broom leaning in the corner), and avoid them. Not only does it avoid them, it also makes a record of them in the app, which then allows you to confirm the item that may be in the way. You can set how sensitive it is to identifying and avoiding these things, too. You can also manually choose areas for it to avoid. For example, I boxed off our cats’ feeding area in the map on the app, as well as the corner where our Christmas tree was. These manual edits can be changed at any time.
The battery life is impressive. On my first vacuuming, it only dropped from 99% to 76% after running for about 80 minutes.
It is pretty quiet. I’m upgrading from a 20-year old Roomba, however, so my frame of reference is not great; that thing was loud. But my cats are not afraid of this new robot, and I think it’s because of the low volume level. It is nice that this actually is a vacuum, too, and not just a sweeper like the old Roombas. It picks up a good deal more, and I don’t even have it set to high suction (there are 3 suction levels to choose from in the app).
I have not yet used it to mop, but that will be coming very soon. There are a bunch of settings to choose from for mopping, too, which is good. I’m using this on an all-hardwood first floor, and don’t want excess water to be left anywhere. Because of this, I have it set to low water usage. I also don’t care to mop the floors every time that it vacuums, and this is a setting that can be changed manually, too! You can have it do both in the same session, or just vacuum, or just mop. They thought of everything when designing the app and all of the variable settings.
If they can make it more obvious how to get replacement parts, and how to get cleaning solution (or better – make your own, but I’m sure they don’t want to tell people that), then I’d likely call this a five-star item at $450-550.

Can’t stop using it.
It does almost everything that a competitor’s top product has but for almost half the cost. Love it. Highly recommend it.

Part of the Dreame line of products the Mova P10 Pro Ultra is a sleek looking robot. This is my first robovac and Iâm a bit OCD with my house cleaning so itâll be good guinea pig. The product came nicely packed and with the base, vacuum, power cord, dual mops and the incline stand.
Base was plug and play, while connecting the robot to the MovaHome app the usability was clunky. The app connected to my Wifi but had trouble connecting to the robot even when the robot was put into sync (by pressing the two buttons) mode. It took two tries – when it did connect the sync lights on the robot were still blinking but the app registered as connected – hmmmâ¦ok. Anywho, once that was over, a firmware update popped up but was unable to continue because the charge on the robot wasnât topped up enough (15%) at the factory for it continueâ¦hmmm..ok. After docking the robot and waiting 2 hours it got to 40% and I was able to run the firmware without a glitch.
Since then the vacuum has been fantastic. The initial run was a full Lidar mapping session which allowed the robot to map out the entire second floor in our home. I did a general vacuum session once the mapping session was done (I turned the mopping feature off since the upstairs is fully carpeted and we manually mop our bathroom floors). The app does a great job in tracking the vacuum throughout its cleaning sessions as well as colour code the various rooms and label various obstructions (like wiring, lamps, etc). You can also designate areas you want the vaccum to ignore as well as carpet vs. Non-carpeted areas and how much (or how less) you want the vacuum to increase itâs suction during cleaning. The one thing I havenât figured out yet is how to rename rooms – itâs like that option was somehow left out in the appâs UI design. The battery has been great, it lasts one full session, and then auto-returns to the base for charging. The maintenance section of the app also lists areas of the vacuum that will eventually require replacing or cleaning (this is a nice touch). It also has an AI assistant and voice commands allowing you to use your voice to vacuum certain areas of your home.
The vacuum has been a wonderful addition to our cleaning routine and has left our carpets looking vibrant again (we have semi white/cream coloured Berber carpeting). Great job on this vaccum Mova (Dreame), looking forward to continue using this for the rest of the year.

This robot vacuum is amazing. Iâve had it cleaning the floors in the run up to Christmas and itâs doing a great job.
Initial and basic set up is easy. I attached the bits that needed to be attached and filled the water tank then installed the app and sent it to map the rooms I wanted to clean. It took about 5 minutes to fast map our upstairs area. Apparently it uses lidar, which uses lasers to map the rooms. You can watch this process in real time in the app. It also seems to use this while doing cleaning because I had the door to the ensuite closed the first time I mapped the house and during the cleaning cycle it found the room, mapped it and cleaned it.
The initial default clean setting was to vacuum and mop at the same time but I preferred the setting to vacuum first and then mop. It took longer but I found when it did both at the same time it left a couple of clumps of wet dog hair behind. Now that said we have a long haired dog that sheds a lot so there is hair all over. I did find that some hair got wrapped around the rubber brush on the base but it is easy to pop this off, remove the ends and remove the hair tangles.
I was surprised when it managed to clean under our couches. It can fit into quite small spaces. One thing I did find is the top of the robot is plastic that scratches quite easily. There was a staple that had come loose and was hanging down from under one of the chairs, this left scratches on the plastic. Fortunately this is just cosmetic damage but it shows how tight a space the robot will try to fit itself into.
It has a speaker and it announces what itâs doing, such as returning to charge, cleaning mop heads, starting vacuuming. It also reminds you to empty the dirty water tank and it takes time when it finishes cleaning to clean and dry the mop heads so that it wont start to smell.
As I mentioned earlier, we have a dog, normally he hates and barks at vacuum cleaners but he completely ignores this robot cleaner. It isnât as loud as a regular vacuum so maybe he just doesnât care about it.
The app has a lot of features including the ability to monitor what has been cleaned, sent the robot to clean specific rooms or areas and modify the map in small ways (for example split rooms). It identified our stairs (going down) as part of the living room so I split the room and named the stairs area as stairs. It has never tried to go down the stairs, it seems to be safely identifying the drop, but I just wanted to clearly separate the stairs so it wouldn’t keep trying to find a way into that area and would make cleaning the living room a little faster. You can set up multiple floors and move the vacuum between them to clean different areas of a house but I haven’t done that yet because our basement is a family play area so itâs full of toys and small things like legos so I prefer to clean that manually.
This is a great robot vacuum and it has made cleaning the house much less of a manual chore.

I tried a lot of robot vacuum cleaners in the past. This more high end Mova P10 Pro Ultra is one of the best when it comes to mapping and spatial awareness but battery is lacking capacity and there are zero spare parts on the market right now. But let’s go into some details:
The robot vacuum mob combo is currently sold for $1600 -750 coupon. This is a big price tag compared to most other robot vacuum/mop combos. The price tag is somewhat justified considering the camera, very advanced AI and excellent mapping algorithm.
The mapping of rooms and floors is way better than any other robot I have tested mainly due to to the camera. It avoids obstacles because it sees them and is even aware of stairs, carpets and other higher or lower objects within its path. That is very impressive. The robot will not fall down stairs or go onto some higher grounds easily.
Due to the camera, the mapping is also much faster and precise than other robots that need to ram every object 10 times before they learn they can’t go to certain places.
The cleaning capabilities are good. I dislike the mop function. I feel it is messy and the cleaning capabilities aren’t good enough to satisfy my standards. When vacuuming and mopping concurrently the robot tends to smear some dust and hair around that is still under the robot but hasn’t been sucked in properly.
The station where the robot recharges is huge. Way bigger than any other self-emptying robot I had so far. The water tank also takes more space.
The battery isn’t great. My apartment is small and it is able to finish my 500 sqft unit with 30% charge left. Most people will likely have way more area to cover.
Moreover, when the suction power is increased the battery drains much faster, barely finishing my apartment in one charge on the highest suction power.
Other robots I tested had way better battery performance, however, the camera and the mop function drains a lot of power. Mopping and vacuuming can be done separately or turned off via the app.
By far the biggest down side is the absence of spare parts. Mova is just starting as a company thus they do not have an online store to sell replacement vacuum bags or new brushes. Supposedly by February 2025 they will have spare parts available in Canada.
I give the robot 4 stars but I can’t recommend it so far due to the limited availability of spare parts. I think next year this vacuum mop combo becomes more attractive.

I ordered this to replace a basic Shark Robot AI. This has a ton more features and so far it has been working great. I havent encountered any issues
The dock has a spot to clean and dry the mop pads (note this model cannot drop of the pads on the dock). middle compartment has the detergent refill and dust bag. The top has the dirty and clean water containers
The robot maps the rooms quickly. The only issue is I have a floor mirror and when it saw this it created a fake room, make sure you cover up mirrors when mapping
It has good obstacle avoidance, it seems to clean properly and does so in a good order. The app keeps track of the path it took and even has a camera.
If its dark area there is a light on the robot which will automatically come on to help it see.
It has the ability to detect cords and other household items and maps it on the app.
Tons of features on this thing, couldnt be happier. If you need spare parts you can order the ones for the Dreame X40 as they are similar and Dreame makes this brand
