Excellent ring light and excellent company backing the product!
Excellent large ring light, plenty of positioning flexibility, sturdy easy-to-adjust stand, smooth controls allowing incremental change from warm white to cool white in any brightness range, with unlimited combinations of either, wonderful to be able to fine-tune color and brightness this way. Well made, has been very durable, purchased in 2020. On-off switch quit functioning after four years of regular studio use in November 2024, I contacted Neewer and they sent a completely new control board, cost of new board and shipping was $25. Easily installed, light back to working like new. Impressed with the product and the excellent customer service. Thanks Neewer!

this light i use to create content its very bright. it also has a very sturdy base on it. when you bend it it doesn’t tip per like other ring lights

Update 3/29/2021:Light still works, but sometimes when I turn it on, it takes maybe 30 seconds to turn on.I’ve read other reviews saying the light stopped working. I haven’t experienced that, but the light hesitancy to start up is concerning.Update 1/18/2021:Took off a star because the cold shoe mount for the camera is pretty much junk. I’m going to buy a descent one for around $30.It simply doesn’t hold the camera at an angle. The camera will slowly fall. I suppose you can crank the screw down *really* hard (which is what I’ve resorted to), but that’s a mechanical nightmare. It’ll eventually lose all ability to hold in place if you have to crank down on the screw that hard.Overall, I’m still satisfied with the product. You should just know that the mount for the camera isn’t the best.Original:Everything as I’d expected. Love the ability to control the color/warmth of the light. Great illumination.The tripod is sturdy. I’m able to mount my Canon Eos M50 Mark II on the light using the included hardware, which was important to me.The remote included for smartphone camera control is a little dinky in terms of form factor…feels super cheap. That said, it does the job. I didn’t know or care that this product included a remote when I bought it, but it was like an added bonus to me when the package arrived. I likely won’t use it much myself, but I tested it and it works!My main use is for conference calls and shooting some business videos/photos. For my needs, this has done the trick.I was a bit concerned because some reviews mention failure after a short time. I haven’t experienced that, and will update my review if I do.

Ring Lights have been around for years, but they kind of disappeared some time ago. For some reason, they just fell out of favour, but they are back again, and are extremely popular. And for good reasons. They provide excellent, soft light for faces, making it look like you had a lighting crew working getting your subject ready!For me, it’s the little things that really make a product shine, and I will have to admit, I have a few product from this company – Neewer. For example, I have purchased three of their 95W camera batteries, which are much nicer that the OEM batteries the camera has.The first point of this light, is the power. At 55W’s, this is entering the pro market. I have always felt you really need about 50W’s at a minimum, for stand mounted lighting fixtures. This ring light checks that box!Power is supplied by an adapter that takes in 100/240V, 50/60Hz @ 1.6A. This means you can haul this fixture pretty much anywhere in the world and plug it in. Of course, you might need an adapter to fit into the correct plug, but will not need any kind of transformer. Nice!Power out to the light fixture is 15V at 4.0A. That’s a bit unusual, so do take care of the power supply! It comes with a three wire plug to fit into a wall socket, and then goes into a 18AWG two pin wire. There is a short pigtail that is attached to the light. You just connect the single wire from the power supply to the pigtail on the light, and you are done. And here is another excellent feature. Small, but excellent! The simple plug (centre hot case negative) arrangement is a push together, but with a small twist on the connectors, locks them together. So, a slight pull on the cable for any reason, will not disconnect the power. Very nice!You are supplied with two sets of light modifiers. You can use the lighting fixture “clean” – no diffuser in front of the LED’s, a full set of white diffusers that will really “smooth” out the light and then a full set of tungsten filters. This just takes the daylight colour temperature of the fixture and turns it into tungsten light, or “indoor” lighting colour temperature. Both sets are not the easiest pieces to install or replace. It just takes a bit of patience. In fact, if you know what your lighting requirements might be prior to going to a location, you might want to change them over before you arrive there. If you are in your own studio, this is something you never need to worry about! (But you have the option – nice!)The diffusers and the tungsten filters are in four sections, and clip onto the sides of the fixture.The entire unit is lightweight, and easy to position. If you tilt the fixture, you will discover that the different angles are not achieved with a friction fit. Rather, both side of the pivot point have groves cut in, so it will stay where you put it.You are supplied with a shoe mount, ball mount and phone holder – all of which helps you to mount darn near any phone out there. There are a few bits and pieces that need to be mounted, but it’s simple and you will get your camera in the centre of the light – the ideal position.A simple, smooth rotary switch controls the brightness.The do supply you with a lighting stand. It works. And it is very compact. It’s the kind where the legs fold into themselves, which results in a remarkable small stand. It won’t really fit into the supplied light case, so you will need to bring the stand separately.I feel the stand is a bonus. It’s very nice it was supplied, but I find it a bit too lightweight. If you need to put it up to full height, it starts to look a little unstable. I would suggest that if you purchase this excellent kit, save up a little more money and replace the stand with something a bit more heavy-duty. And regardless of using this stand or purchasing a second one that’s a bit bigger, do get a sandbag (or any kind of weight) onto the bottom of the stand. This will prevent someone, or a pet, from knocking the entire unit down.As for the look of this kind of light, you will get a beautiful, even light with virtually no shadows anywhere on a face. Now, glasses will present a different issue!Bottom line – an excellent lighting fixture to have. Ring lighting is wonderful for faces (human or otherwise), and can be great for smaller product work too. As one slowly collects different lighting fixtures for different kinds of work, a powerful, well-featured ring light will always be appreciated and used!

Excelente producto ya cambiaron las uniones del aro con el tripoide y se ve que ya no se barrera el tornillo, es el segundo equipo que adquiero y con el anterior llevo 3 años con el y siempre lo hago en viajes en coche.

Muy contento con esta compra, yo lo utilizo para hacer vídeos, necesitaba un aro de luz que me diera una buena iluminación para aplicar un chroma al vídeo en post-producción y la verdad que es genial también puedes regular la intensidad de la iluminación y si quieres una luz cálida o fría, ademas tiene baterías por si lo quieres usar en algún sitio sin enchufes aunque yo esta opción no la suelo usar porque si tengo enchufe. A la hora de desmontar y meter en la bolsa es perfecto para viajar con ella y transportarlo súper cómodo. Muy contento con la compra
