Easy Setup for Windows Hello on Windows 11
I like the convenience of using Windows Hello Facial Recognition on my laptop. So, I bought the NexiGo HelloCam for my desktop based on its price and reviews, and I am very satisfied. I just plugged the camera into a USB port, and it was ready to use. I navigated to Settings/Accounts/Sign-in options and followed the instructions. After letting the camera take a mug shot, the setup was complete for Windows Hello. Not only does Windows Hello work great, the picture quality of the camera during a video call is excellent. I was skeptical of the NexiGo HelloCam based on the price when compared to other cameras that support Windows Hello, but there is no reason for concern. This is a great buy!

Keep getting “SD Card Damaged” message
Pros: Nice looking camera. Windshield mount works great.Cons: Poorly written manual, keep getting “damaged memory card” message, and having to re-format to get camera working again. The rear camera has a red wire attached to it, which is not mentioned anywhere in the manual. Apparently it can be used as a back-up camera, and that wire is to tie into your reverse light wiring?It’s a lot easier to figure out how the buttons and menus work if you take the short USB to camera cord that comes with it, and plug it into a wall outlet cell phone charging block. Trying to work through all the buttons and screens, is easier inside than trying to figure it out in your car. I did my first one while sitting in my car. When I did my wife’s car, I set it up in the house. Once it was all set up, it was a matter of sticking it to the windshield and plugging in the rear camera.I purchased the hard wire kit with the fuse tap connector, and a separate “stick to the back glass” mount. Made the whole install much easier.

UPDATE: They fixed it! One major flaw (NO LONGER) caused me to have to get another camera
UPDATE a few weeks later: THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM!I am super impressed. Having written the detailed review below, about 2 weeks later I received an email from the company saying that their engineers had read my review and were working hard to resolve the bug. He said they now had a firmware update that should fix it, and he sent me a link to the instructions and the updated firmware.I installed the firmware, and then waited a few days for my normal usage of the camera. I did end up attending a few online meetings. THE PROBLEM IS GONE! The camera now remembers your saved “zoom level” and other settings and does not “flash” to a fully zoomed-out view at the start of every meeting.I am now very happy with this camera without caveats – as I noted in my original review (below), it was surprisingly not easy to find a camera with full and easy-to-use zoom – and clearly this company is highly responsive. Congratulations.Back to 5 stars!My original review is below.—ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW—To start off, I investigated long and hard for a 4K camera with a “zoom in/out” and “pan” feature that was smooth and continuous and worked directly from the camera itself via a remote control (not the OS). It was surprisingly difficult to find a camera that doesn’t zoom in/out in “5 levels” or whatever.This camera does say “10x”, bla bla bla, and it’s hard to even know what these “5x”, “10x” even mean. That’s part of what makes it hard to get this figured out. But, this camera fits the bill perfectly in this regard – great 4K camera with smooth zoom and pan and the zoom allows you to zoom way in and out (both in and out) for a very zoomed-in view or a wide fairly panoramic view of your background.This camera fits the bill in all the above ways. It would be such a great camera.But it has a flaw that for me finally necessitated I give up on this camera and get another one.Despite having a “set” button that supposedly memorizes the last zoom level, this feature simply fails to work until you click at least once on one of the zoom buttons on the camera. The moment you click on a zoom button, the camera snaps to the most recent saved setting (which is correct).The problem is that it always starts every online meeting fully zoomed out and requires you to click on one of the zoom buttons for it to snap to the correct zoom. To be clear, it will switch to “fully zoomed out” right at the key moment, when a meeting starts and the camera turns on in the meeting app, even if one minute before in the test it was at the right zoom level. You have to be holding the remote in your hand, and once it enters the meeting, as quickly as you can you need to hit one of the zoom buttons for it to snap to the remembered setting. That means that everyone in the meeting gets to see you in fully zoomed-out state for just a moment, at the key moment when you first appear in the meeting and everybody is glancing over at your rectangle anyways.I have a very messy background and it would be fine if this feature just worked and remembered my zoom level. But it doesn’t. Everybody, in every meeting, gets to see my messy background for a moment while I rush to press one of the “zoom” buttons to get it to snap to the remembered setting.This is usually OK in an informal meeting, but I sometimes do have meetings with higher-up folks where it is critical that this not happen. For this reason, I simply cannot continue using this camera.Too bad, because otherwise it has everything I need.

Me encantó, la compré principalmente por ser compatible con Windows Hello y funciona perfectamente, su obturador automatico me da mucha confianza porque uno se da cuenta claramente cuando la camara se activa. Ahora puedo realizar o recibir llamadas o videoconferencias sin tener que utilizar mi celular.

Vale a pena o valor investido, ela não perde a qualidade no zoom
