For My Valentine
This pen arrived in time for Valentine’s Day. I bought this as a gift for my husband. The packaging is beautiful and perfect for wrapping. The pen came complete including one refill. The refill looks very small. I ordered more Schmidt-Mine 635 M mini refills. It was $11 for a 10 pack here on Amazon. Some reviews mentioned that the ink does not last long with heavy use. The pen writes smoothly, and it looks like fine point even though the description says medium point. I love that the pen cap slides off and on. This makes using the pen quick and convenient. The cap sticks to the stand so you don’t lose it. NOTE: The pen won’t hover if you lose the little cap. There are very strong magnets on those 4 towers on the stand as you can see from my video. The pen is made from aluminum and feels lightweight, but very sleek. I love the matte navy-blue color. This is a unique gift that I think will look good on my husband’s desk at work. I really like it and the price is right. I will let you know what he thinks.

I bought this for my dad
I always struggle to find fun gifts for my dad. I gave him this pen for his 71 birthday and he loved it. He has it at his desk and loves showing it to the grandchildren and explaining the physics on how it floats. It has a elegant look. The reason I gave 4/5 is because I think itâs on the pricey side.

It’s like magic
Of course, it is not magic but magnets. But the design and the quality of the pen was great. I have it on my office desk and it is a great conversation starter. I use the pen a lot and love how it rights. The only thing I would say is the top does not connected to the pen when in use. You can always just put the pen top to the magnet while you use it.

I looks like it was power coated spray paint. The pen is about on par with a cheap ballpoint pen. Very cool design and very cool idea. If it was $80 and the quality of a Cross or Waterman pen, it would be worth it.

The Physicist’s Favorite
My brother is a retired Physics professor. He enjoys watching YouTube videos posted by another physicist named Sabine Hossenfelder. I watch them as well. At the end of one video, Sabine talked about this pen which is held upright by magnetism. She has the deluxe model which costs several times what this one costs. So, I bought this one for my brother. You do have to buy ink for it because it is not disposable, but according to Sabine, it writes very well.
