Canât recommend enough
Idk why there are so many negative reviews but product works perfectly. Make sure you update it to the latest firmware following the instructions that come in the box. I have zero issues with audio and video being in sync while using an Amazon firestick. Havenât tried the CarPlay feature as I donât need that but the hdmi feature works great.

Works great except
This is a great addition to a vehicle with wired Carplay. It was easy to set up and works great with the apps and Google maps navigation and audible books/podcasts. It is slow to connect when you start the car, so be patient. Also, in my Subaru, this device stays on, so I unplug it when getting out of the car.It does an odd thing when I receive a text while on a phone call. My call goes from crystal clear to a digital robot voice and I can no longer hear the person, so I have to end the call and call them back. The only solution I came up with is to have the phone in do not disturb mode, but I can’t always do that. Have not tried to set up an old Roku yet, but look forward to that experience.

East to connect.
This adapter connects me to my Apple CarPlay so easily and has made my life so much better. I donât have to connect a long annoying cord to my phone in order to get CarPlay and can just get in my car and start my drive. The screen mirror option is also very cool, although if you choose to do that, then you have to disconnect from Apple CarPlay. Canât have the best of both worlds but not a huge issue for me, as I donât frequently use my screen mirror option to watch videos or movies, etc.

I was supper excited for this product but it honestly sucks. I had no problem connecting it but as I started driving with it on the music kept cutting in and out. I also noticed it was distorting the music just enough to bother me. So I unplugged it and went back to my cord. Worked fine. Went to get back in my car after dinner and now my CarPlay will not work even with the cord. I had ordered another one for a friend and immediately canceled it and will be returning this one and hopefully find one similar that works better. Also hoping my CarPlay is not ruined.

It’s a mixed bag for me…
I’ll admit, I was excited to try out the OTTOCAST Car TV Mate Pro. As someone who spends a lot of time running errands every day, I’m always looking for ways to make my drive around town more enjoyable. And with its promise of wireless CarPlay and seamless entertainment, I thought this device might be just what I needed as it would allow me to keep my cell phone in my pocket as I got in and out of the car and avoiding having to plug it in each time to my car. For the most part, the OTTOCAST Car TV Mate Pro delivers and the wireless CarPlay feature works like a charm, and I love being able to stream my favorite shows and music directly to my car’s screen. The device is also surprisingly easy to set up, and the plug-and-play connection makes it a breeze to get started. However, there are a few quirks that prevent me from giving this device a full five stars. For one thing, I find it annoying that I have to choose the “CarPlay” option every time I get in the car. It’s a small thing, but it’s a hassle that I wish I didn’t have to deal with. Another issue I have is with the Apple Music integration. Every time I start my car, I have to toggle to Apple Music and turn it on manually. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s an extra step that I wish I didn’t have to take and after the third or fourth time, I find myself not even bothering as I’m moving to my next stop. And when you’re running errands and jumping in and out of the car all day, it can be a real inconvenience having to constantly select “CarPlay” and turn my music back on each and every time. I do like that it will switch back and forth between my wife and my cell phones, so that’s a plus for this unit. Overall, I’d give the OTTOCAST Car TV Mate Pro three stars. While it’s a solid device that delivers on its promises, there are a few quirks and annoyances that prevent it from being perfect. If you’re looking for a wireless CarPlay solution and don’t mind a few extra steps, this might be the device for you. But if you’re looking for a seamless, hassle-free experience, you might want to look elsewhere, good luck!

The Best Car Video Stream with Car Play
I have tried similar brand products as well as Ottocast tv streaming adapters, but when I saw the Pro version by Ottocast, I was very curious. Other similar devices worked okay, but there was some lag between the audio and video. I wanted to know if the Ottocast Car Mate Pro was an improvement. Well, to my amazement, the device work extremely well. There was some lag using my firestick, but it was very minor. The included manual was easy to read and understand and the instructions and installation were quite easy. The contents include a USB-A to USB-C adapter, but no extra cables or attachments are included except for the attached USB-A cable that is needed to attach the device to your stereo/ screen device. The Ottocast Car TV Mate Pro loaded quickly, and the home screen allows you to choose CarPlay or HDMI. Whatever your choice it is extremely easy to return to the main screen and choose another option. As mentioned, I have tried other brands and other offerings from Ottocast, but this device is the best to date.
