READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY!!
OK, so you will not find a better mechanical pencil unless you are buying a metal one. These function very well, and have a couple of choices of lead size, and a very functional eraser. I have used them from a number of years. They used to cost about $2.50 each approximately, so now are approx $4.00 but I still buy them although when you think about it in comparison to a car, that would mean a $25,000 car is now &40,000, which is a huge increase in price in a few short years. The thing that I found disappointing about this last purchase is the first batch of four pencils arrived with NO leads inside, and not even a starter lead!!!!! So you need your own leads to start you off. So WTF i sent them back for a exchange, which is barely worth my time, but it is the principle that counts, so I get a new pack just now, and they each have a starter lead, and only ONE reserve in each of the barrels. The barrel used to be full of spare leads all ready to go and for cheaper, so I just see this as a downgrade that is more expensive. Really Pentel, is this your business plan? Otherwise an excellent pencil.

Nice mechanical pencils
These pencils work like most mechanical pencils. They are a little more sturdy than most others though. They also have the twist eraser, which is an added bonus.
