Brilliant and versatile
The adhesive on this works well and lets it be adhered around an inside corner (as opposed to the outside where it would bend around a pillar or edge for example). Choosing an elevation near a ceilling gives excellent light coverage with little to no glare, and when it’s white it’s WHITE, not a bright purple which a lot of cheaper RGB brands offer.The Philips app for smart phones and desktop computers lets you have dynamic lighting, with appropriate setup even to mood match the time of day or full-screen gaming session you’re having.I almost didn’t consider this because of its high price as compared to other light strip products, but the app support and overall lighting quality and versatility have proved to be worth it.

Control with the app–Color your space
First, I am a HUGE Philips Hue fan. I have a large and tall bookcase and when having electrical work done in another part of the house, I was “brilliant” (light bulb pun) enough to have the electrician put an out let at the top of this over 10 foot tall beast. My house does not get as much natural light to the interior as my previous house so having this glow against the bit of wall left and the ceiling really adds. Of course, the granddaughters (which is why I moved here) have chosen a seasonal color pallette–for Halloween and they love the scenes that the light changes–and they like it to change faster than slower. I can quickly change to “Read” to have more light that you can read by (vs orange and purple and the like). It installed easily, connected right off and works. I love this light strip. I contemplated the newer strip with the ability to change the lighting along the strip, but the price was too much for me. However, this is great. Hue users know that there are pre-done scenes or make your own or choose from the color wheel.

Great strip light with Hue connectivity– limited to one color at a time
We have many other Hue lights throughout our home– it’s wonderful to have them, and having the option of color is amazing — really livens up the place.This strip is above our kitchen cabinets lighting up the wall there– it’s awesome to have included in our ambiance. One think to note is that this strip is all-or-nothing on the color chosen– you don’t have the option of “waves” of lights or different sections being differently colored– it’s all white, or all pink, or all blue– the fade and flicker effects are fine. It’s a nice light– but the ony advantage it has (and I guess the sole excuse for the far higher price than competitors) is the link to the rest of the Hue system through their Hue Hub.

Great lights that easily connected to my Hue Hub.
These lights were simple to install and connected to my Hue Hub. They were easy to install as cabinet up lights. Hopefully they last longer than my previous set of LED strip lights as these are more expensive than other basic LED options.

Great light strip with lots of uses
Great product, no complaints. Wish they were a little less expensive. I suggest getting the aluminum light strip channels Amazon sells to make installation easier and more professional looking. I use them under my kitchen cabinets, under beds, behind TV’s and in my safe. Works perfect in all my applications.

Hue lights are just very reliable and worth the extra cost
Two sets of these lights were perfect for crown moulding uplighting on a ceiling. Extremely easy to set up and the colors are vivid and bright. Sinks very well with my current smart home software. They are more money than some other similar products, but I think the extra is worth it.

Great lights: HATE THE APP
I love the way these lights look, but if I had known how annoying the app to control them was, I would have gone with a different, and less expensive product. I am not interested in a paid subscription to turn my lights on and off and different colors, so I am destined to the “free app,” which litters my phone with maddening pop up ads: all I want to do is turn my lights on and off, not watch an insipid add for an annoying product I will never buy, or click through several pop ups to get to the screen to adjust my lights.If you just want a simple set up, to change hues and turn your lights on and off, go with something else.

These leds are beyond comparison. They are a bit pricy compared to competitors but totally worth it.I use it light a painting and despite being close to the wall, you can barely see the individual leds.
