Consistent storage
Since I have had this SDcard, no issues. I have used it to backup my laptops and computers….and keep the data on my phone. I truly enjoy the versatility and the stability of this drive.

Works great even underwater
I ordered two of these 256 gb and have used it in Mini 3 Pro and GoPro 12 and it works great with both! Records 5.3k videos without any data loss. I was a little doubtful if it would work not being a mainstream brand for memory cards, but it is working great so far. I would recommend this for sure as it is economical and works just like mainstream brands!

So far so good. Seems to be pretty fast and reliable so far. Excellent price.
I bought this to replace an aging 400GB card in a Switch with a lot of games installed. The old card was beginning to slow to less than 1MB/s writes (not sure why, maybe the controller chip was struggling with a lot of bad blocks) and games would actually physically freeze up whenever writing anything (even short little autosaves were terrible!) I spent a day transferring all the data over to this and so far it’s blazing fast — far faster than the old one was even when it was new I think. I’m not sure about 100MB/s as a guarantee, but I was definitely getting a consistent 40MB/s at the very least (I never really tested it fully since reliability is the main factor here, but everything I looked at did at least that, usually more.)So far it seems reliable. I’ve been using it a while and performance is still consistent. No data loss issues or anything either. Only time will truly tell, but at least it’s off to a great start with generally better performance than I expected from a card in the Switch. (I don’t think it can even fully utilize > U1 if even that.)

Good stuff
No sense getting garbage memory cards, when good stuff like this is plenty cheap. Prices oscillate like everything on Amazon, so watch the prices and grab some when the price dips. In mid 2024, I grabbed some for twenty seven and thirty bucks. I can remember when 2GB was considered huge, and when 32GB was the sweet spot. Now for me, the sweet spot is 512GB, and might become 1TB in 2025.PNY has been a trusted flash memory brand for me, for decades. Never a problem with PNY, A-Data, Lexar, or Samsung. Just pay attention to the specs (U1 vs U3; A1 vs A2; V30 vs A10, etc.) and this has good specs, which are actually far above what any of my devices actually need…. but who wants to buy junkier stuff for $3 less, when future devices keep needing better and better memory as the years go by?

Reads & writes very close to advertised speeds (results may vary with card reader).
I just bought another one of these cards after having a good experience with PNY Pro Elite microSDXC cards in my smartphones and just ran two different tests using the latest version of CrystalDiskMark using two different card readers I have. The first card reader is a Kingston MobileLite Plus USB 3.2 microSDHC/SDXC UHS-II Card Reader. The second card reader is a Cable Matters Dual Slot USB C Card Reader (Model Number 201058).I will list the ASIN numbers for each card at the end of my review for easier searching.I cannot be sure if the card readers are limiting the ability of the microSDXC card to reach full advertised speeds or not. All I know is I get slightly different results with the two different card readers while plugged directly into a USB 3.2 Gen2 port on the back of my AsRock X570 Taichi desktop PC motherboard running the latest chipset drivers. Please note that the Kingston card reader has a USB-A type connector while the Cable Matters card reader has a USB-C type connector. However, the USB A and USB C ports that I used on my motherboard were right next to each other and again, both rated for USB 3.2 Gen2 speeds. My motherboard USB ports are rated for that USB protocol. The microSDXC card and the card readers are not. Please see my pics for the test results. The read and write speeds were within +/- 2-3 MB/s of advertised sequential read/write speeds with both card readers. I doubt anyone would notice the difference in real world applications unless you are doing time critical file transfers often. For the average consumer I’d say these cards seem to have a good price to performance ratio, especially when on sale. I can easily recommend these cards to friends and family and I do. Hope this helps you make a better buying decision. A good alternative to these cards to consider that are slightly better in advertised read speeds and potentially around the same price are the Sandisk Extreme brand microSDXC cards with ASIN number B07FCR3316. Those are rated to have a read speed of 160 MB/s with the same write speed of the PNY Pro Elite at 90 MB/s. The pricing seems to be within $5-10 of each other, so not much difference. The Kingston card reader’s ASIN number is B085P5FDXQ.The Cable Matters card reader’s ASIN number is B01KXWIHZY.
