Pushing Technology To The Limit –
Nice size and good sound
Let me make a quick comment about some of the negative reviews I have read. Some folks say that the speaker is not loud enough when they use it on their CB radios. Check your manual to see what the specs are on your speaker output. When I had a CB years ago I could only run a 5 watt external speaker. The low cost CB radios may not be able to drive a 15 watt speaker unlike the more expensive CBs. If you have a more expensive CB and it still will not drive your speaker may I suggest you buy a 12 volt DC amplifier. I would get one that is 30 watts. I do not know if you can get a 15 watt amplifier. I would do a search on Amazon.I am running this speaker on a home stereo for playing music in my yard. For a mono speaker it sounds great. It is loud enough that I can hear it at a good distance. For a small speaker it packs a punch. I have other 15 watt speakers that are big and noticeable and the new one is not so noticeable which is a plus.The only thing I wish the speaker had was a RCA plug instead of a 1/8 inch plug. I had to cut off the 1/8 inch plug to be able to run it on my home stereo.

Great value.
The speaker sounds great off of the Midway 1001z but if you are looking to get the guy in the car next to you to shut off his annoying music you need a better speaker with an amp. The metal bracket is nice and easy enough to install with just some 3M tape. The horn itself is small and can fit in cramped spaces but its flimsy plastic might not hold up too well.

Decent sound quality for PA
Decent sound quality but un-amplified from my controller is quieter than a normal conversation voice.Used this as a temp to see if installing a real PA system in my Jeep was worthwhile. Not a good idea for long term serviceability.

cheap chinese junk
Received quick by Amazon. Box was fine and well packed. Speaker was in 3 pieces as stated by another reviewer. The center(speaker and center portion), the cone, and also separate, the back of cone attached to mounting bracket.The way this junk is designed, you have the bracket bolted to the back portion of the cone. A screw goes through the back portion and screws into the speaker magnet, and the speaker/internal center holds the cone against the backing section. Well, its WEAK point is on the plastic by the screw head. It was broken off. They dont mate flat together, theres a gap. This gap allowed too much pressure and the center of backing cap broke.Tried super glueing it. Same results, it breaks again. I will be going to the store to track down a longer screw and big washer, this will work for sure. Stress distribution is the key.Sounds 3/5 but i didnt expect more. Smaller than I was expecting. Cheap speaker to wire connection.

Make sure you use stainless steel hardware. Stainless steel is not magnetic.Point it DOWNWARD, so no water, sand, dirt, duct gets inside and stays there.Hooked this to a Uniden head unit / CB Radio PA system and it works great, clear, and loud enough.

My son wanted this for his cb in his truck which has pa option so now he can yell at his friends walking out of school. Works great( well at least the principal at school says so!!!!)

Plastic, I hope it doesn’t melt under the hood.
I installed it myself, not much room under the hood but I found a spot. It is not the loudest speaker available, but I do believe it will do what I need it to.

Bin zufrieden mit der Qualität des Horns, es tut was es soll.Schade nur das es so groÃe Unterschiede in Sachen Preis gibt, durch ein Projekt bin ich auf das Horn aufmerksam geworden (Angebot aus den USA) und dort kostet es nur ca die Hälfte.Trotz allem ich bin zufrieden.

Plugs into the icotec auxiliary Jack, no issues. Did a modification bracket to the back of the call so it fits as one unit, but with the option to remove in order to set speaker up higher using the 10 ft cord included. Greatly increases the sound volume. Initial order got lost in mail but they were really great and quick at sending replacement
