Incredibly fun; so far pretty durable except for battery compartment cover
This drone is incredibly fun to play with. I got it to play with a 5 year old nephew. It is relatively easy to get started with. It is surpisingly durable – has survived many collisions with walls, lamps, tv screens, curtains, the floor, etc., and in a fun game of me chasing my nephew with it, it survived being swatted off with a paper towel roll. I would say in terms of enjoyment per dollar spent, it is one of the best purchases I have ever made. That being said, the thing that has broken is the battery door compartment – not from any collision, but just because it has two tiny plastic hinges that are very fragile. One hinge broke off, but the door still remains secured with a single hinge. I bought some spike tape for when the other hinge inevitably breaks. Customer support is questionable. I requested a PDF copy of the manual but it took several days for a response and they didn’t send it and instead asked for an order number. So rather than continue down that frustrating path I instead just scanned the paper manual with an ios PDF scanning app.

Great Drone for Beginners

Great Drone for Anyone
This is a 100% keeper when it comes to low cost drones. I’m not a kid or a beginner, but it is a joy to fly. Great for dusk / dark backyard flying as it is highly visible. In the second and third flight modes, it will handle a decent breeze without any problems. One really good thing is that if you fly it out of radio range, it shuts itself off after maybe 2 seconds, so the chances of losing it are minimized. It also has a good range anyway. I may get another one of these as an experimental platform and add a tiny 5.8 ghz fpv camera to it. The gear driven props provide quiet, efficient power. It comes with a full set of props, two batteries and a charger. Flight times are good. Just a note to beginners, charge times are quite long with the little usb charger, so a small investment in a “real” charger that can charge multiple batteries at once, and quicker would be a good idea. The batteries are quite affordable as well if you want more. Just be aware that brushed motors in drones like this do not need to be flown for an extended time without a cool down period, or you will be replacing motors. Fly a battery or two, and let it rest for a few minutes. It would be pretty hard to beat this little drone for the cost. There is also a carrying case available for it here on Amazon, which is nice to have. I like to carry something to fly along on camping and vacation trips, and this is a great choice for that.

Very tough!
I originally bought 2 of these for Christmas gifts for the grandkids.When they arrived I took them out to put batteries in the remotes and charge up the batteries for the drone.Of course as a long time drone pilot for the larger outdoor camera drones there is no way I wasn’t going to at least be sure they worked.I wound up having to get 1 of the kids a different gift because I kept one of these for myself!This is the toughest little drone I have ever seen.It is the perfect size for indoor flying and can handle extremely rough treatment.As an expierenced flyer I tend to get a little carried away practicing and have crashed and bounced it off most anything in the hose and have yet to see any damage to the drone! I can’t say the same for a few of the Wife’s decorations around the house though!It is also great for beginners because of how tough it is and you can’t beat the price.I would recommend this for anyone that has wanted to try flying a drone but wasn’t sure if it was for them.I wish I had one of these for my first drone because the learning curve can get expensive when you crash a full size high priced camera drone on the first flight.Even experinced flyers can have a lot of fun indoors with this thing.I will be buying a couple more for friends that have shown interest when they see my pictures and videos taken with my outdoor drones.That way they can have some practice before they ask to fly my fragile outdoor drones! Over all the pros and cons are—pros-The perfect size.Not one of the little $20.00 drones from walmart that go under the fridge and never to be seen again.–comes with 2 batteties for about 7 minutes each when flown on high speed and getting crazy.I would est about 18 to 20 for kids learning on low speed.–Very easy to operate and do flips and spin and such–The led lites are very bright for flying in a totally dark room–Super TOUGH! I am telling you that I have really gotten crazy with this thing and it just keeps on going.It takes a licking and keeps on ticking:)–The price is right!——cons are– I didn’t have one of these for my first drone to learn with! If you have been thinking about it– Buy it. If you want one for the kids– Buy itI haven’t talked to the 8 year old grandson yet but I will update this review with his thoughts as soon as I do.I bet his dad has had a blast with it!!!

Drone wouldn’t pair with controller from box. Followed troubleshooting steps in user manual, didn’t help. Contacted manufacturer. They asked for video of issue to diagnose which I sent. They never responded.
