“Just Right” Lights
I tried several recommended lighting sets to improve the look of my videos/presentment via Zoom. But my space capacity is confined so most of the box lights sets with filters took up too way much space from my work area which required me to have to set the system up & take it down each time (grrr!). Plus, they produced way too much light for my needs even at the lowest light level. Then I discovered this system, which for me is JUST RIGHT! The light stands are slim, almost elegantly modern and, therefore, I can leave them in place. They are more adjustable in terms of height and angle of the light face. The full face of the light illuminates, not just a ring of bulbs, and it is semi-opaque which also filters the light and avoids the distinct ring of reflected lights in the glasses of wearers like me. And, I can adjust the light in terms of brightness and color tone. The one downside for me is the camera holder they come with does not expand wide enough to hold my camera. I think I can switch out the camera holder to one the fits or I can put the camera on a tripod. I just love having a work area with these lights and you can’t beat the price so the camera issue almost feels like nit-picking…

Good for the price
Good light bright but could be brighter

Great light!
This lamp exceeded my hopes and expectations. The price makes it a real deal too!

Great for reviews, not so great for my desktop setup
Obviously, every setup is going to be different. However, as a person who works from home and ends up doing a lot of Teams calls, I was looking for something that I could use to brighten up my face a bit for these calls. I was thinking that I could use this light to peak over my desk mounted dual monitor setup. Unfortunately, the max the pole extends is to a length of 15″. Why didn’t I watch the reviewer videos because you can clearly see that the center of the light is around 23″ when the light is fully extended. It’s perfect to be right at eye level. However, you don’t want the light to be at eye level. You want the recording device being at eye level and the light being above that. I’m not going to dock it anything for my lack of fully reviewing all of the details of the product and the images and videos. The light is great. I like the options for bright, warm, and soft lighting. The different brightness is insane the bright white is REALLY BRIGHT. For the most part, it’s a great light. The stand is really nice. I enjoy using it for video reviews and even indoor lighting for photography. There is a constant light around the buttons so if you are in a dark area you could easily see where the buttons are to turn the light on. Not sure how useful it is because you are not going to use it for your primary lighting. My biggest issue is around the USB cable. I would have thought that with it being USB, it is going to be perfect. I could pack it up and travel with it, not sure I would actually do that because the base would make it awkward, but I confirmed I could just plug it into my laptop and it will work fine. However, 99% of the time, I actually use it in conjunction with a wall adapter. I don’t, personally, seeing a use for this where I will use it with a USB slot. Computers are getting stingy with USB and so these are typically filled with various dongles.Overall, I really like the light but for a desktop light for Teams meetings, it’s a dud. I’m going to see if I can find some way to right it together but with how things are, at this point, the large light makes it difficult to just strap it down with some zip ties.
