Great for Beginners
I’m very new to keyboards and pc stuff in general, and in a single night of research found that this keyboard would work best for my needs. I wanted something was had a high build quality, something that was aesthetically pleasing, and within my budget. I do casual gaming, as well as school work and digital art, and this keyboard has been great for everything I do on my computer. It sounds and looks amazing. For being on the lower price end in comparison to other keyboards of a similar size, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. I also appreciate how it not only looks good straight out of the box, but there is no real need to modify it if you’re a newbie like me. I like how there is an option to switch out keycaps if I ever feel the need or want to. But I as of right now I don’t, I love the colors of the keys. It matches perfectly with my setup. The user interface is relatively easy to understand on the small screen, and I like how customizable everything is. The program that comes with it as well to further customize lighting as well as keybinds could be a little more user-friendly, but I don’t really use it, other than the first time I set my keyboard up. Also the battery life on this thing is crazy long. I don’t use the backlight often, so that definitely is a factor, but Ive had it for about 3 months and have charged maybe two or three times. This keyboard was the perfect addition to my setup and I couldn’t be happier. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a high quality, good looking and budget friendly starter keyboard.

Great keyboard, great value
It used to be that keyboards this good were only available if you paid hundreds of dollars and waited a year for all the group buy parts to arrive so you could assemble them yourself. Now, for a hundred bucks, you get a really solid keyboard with excellect switches and an LCD screen with a rotary knob. It’s a great time to be a keyboard enthusiast.Switches – Very nice, but a little light for my taste since I have big hands and fat fingers. However, since this is a hot-swap PCB, I have some heavier linears on the way and it will be a piece of cake to swap them out. The sound of the stock switches is great, and the included stabilizers haven’t produced a lot of rattle but they aren’t perfect. The included keycaps are double shot PBT and feel nice and solid.Build – Very solid. The board has almost no flex to it, and while it’s not as heavy as something made out of solid aluminum it doesn’t feel like any other plastic board I’ve ever used. It’s not crazy heavy, but it does a good job of staying put on my desk mat, even with the feet out to adjust the typing angle to my liking.Battery – Meets my needs. I use this for work, 40 hours a week, and after 3 days of using it I’m only down to 72% battery life. It looks like I’ll only have to charge it every other week, but keep in mind that I don’t like a lot of RGB unicorn puke all over my keyboard, so I only have it flashing a quick pop of color whenever I press a key. Since the RGB is off unless I’m actually typing, I know that that’s heavily contributing to the battery longevity. The more RGB lighting you use and the brighter you make it, the more likely you’ll be to have to charge the battery every 2 or 3 days.Screen – Useful enough that I haven’t had to plug this into my computer and run the software to customize anything. I can set my RGB, change between Win/Mac, and pair to multiple bluetooth devices all by using the screen and rotary knob. Very useful, especially since I can’t install any proprietary software on my work computer. I will say that the included clock is a little fast, usually gaining about 7 seconds a day from what I can tell, so if you’re really picky about all of your clocks being accurate you’ll need to fix the time once a week or so.Overall I’m really happy with this purchase, and if you’re here and looking at this review you should probably buy it.

Perfect creamy/thocky keyboard for a great price!
Took a chance on the RK keyboard during Prime days and it does not disappoint. It’s so creamy and thocky and solid. Very good build, works right out of the gate, easy to program, and sounds delicious. You can mod the caps and switches if you like, but you really don’t need to. For a pre-build keyboard to look/feel/sound this good at this price point is kind of astounding. I will say that I made sure to buy a separate coiled USB cord because I don’t plan on using the provided dongle nor BT (Windows machines are utter balls at bluetooth connectivity fr), and I’m glad I did so because the provided cords are pretty short. So keep that in mind if you plan on being wired with this one and have a bit of a distance between devices.

Creamy!
I’ve been using this keyboard for about a month or so now, and it’s the best keyboard I’ve ever owned. The quality is great, it’s very solid, and the types are super smooth and easy to use. The LED lighting has WAY more customizations than I expected, and you can actually customize it in any way you’d like. The dial is solid and has a great sound when you use it. This keyboard can be connected to up to 3 devices, which is great since I have my personal computer for school and work computers connected to the same monitor, so it’s easy to toggle between devices.I am not an expert keyboard guy, and I don’t really know much about mechanical keyboards, so this is probably a great beginner or budget-friendly keyboard for those who do.The ONLY critique I have of this keyboard currently, is that the software isn’t supported on Mac.

This is my 2nd Royal Kludge keyboard and I am very impressed. I’ve had mechanical keyboards from Logitech, Keychron, Corsair, Drevo and Redragon and I like my RK ones more. This one in particular is just super satisfying to type on. I love the creamy sound from the keys, it’s unlike anything else I’ve owned so far. The green and clay-red color scheme also looks awesome. Keycaps are soft touch but not shine-through which is a bit of a disappointment but not a deal breaker. The little screen and knob is easy to use and actually useful. It’s nice to change settings in a menu vs using function keys, and being able to check the time when enjoying full screen entertainment is also handy to me. My audio setup is also able to use the knob as a volume control which is an added bonus. All three connectivity modes work well for me – Bluetooth is reliable, 2.4Ghz is fast and reliable, and wired mode is also fast and reliable. Range on BT/2.4Ghz is average, but since this isnt really an HTPC keyboard I don’t think it matters much.My only complaint is the battery life. RK claims they have a gigantic battery in this keyboard but I only get 2-3 days of use between charges, and it takes a loooooong time to charge so it ends up being plugged in a little more than I’d like. If I keep the RGB lighting on the 2nd lowest setting, I can get another day or two of usage but I wish I didn’t have to charge this keyboard once a week.I really like this keyboard overall and I’d definitely recommend it! It’s a good keyboard for full price but RK has sales all the time so I’d wait for a 20-25% discount, where it becomes a killer deal in my opinion.
