Description of RPM1470 : The Rockville RPM1470 is a 14-channel powered console mixer with USB input and Bluetooth. There were a few goals we had when designing this mixer. The first one was it had to have the clearest sound quality with the best quality mica preamps. We manufactured this mixer with XDR2 low noise mica preamps. These are some of the best sounding mica pore’s on the market. They compete in quality with any brand on the market! The next goal we had was versatility. This mixer has aux sends and returns on each channel so you can route your external effects easily. We also built in a 24-bit digital effects processor that sounds great. We didn’t include 99 effects which all sound the same. Rather we included 16 solid effects that are each useful. You can customize each effect in the FX control section of the mixer. The last goal was to include a built-in amplifier that is powerful enough for your main speakers so that you can use this mixer for large events with over 500 guests. We tested this and we ran the mixer to (2) Mackie C300Z speakers, and even with the volume turned up half way these were filling an extremely large room with sound! We also tested these with dual 15” DJ speakers and really cranked them and the sound of the highs and lows were crisp and clean. The great thing about this is the amp does not overheat even when cranking it for hours straight. The power amp built into this mixer is 500 x 2 RMS @ 8 ohms and 750 x 2 RMS @ 4 ohms. We rate the RMS very strictly the way famous brands like Mackie rate their items. We also supply you with program and peak ratings, but RMS is the true continuous output power you should look at. Other great features are a dual 7-band master EQ, a 4-band EQ on each channel, an EQ kill switch, and pad and solo buttons on each channel. Rounding things out, we added a USB input that has 2 functions. It can play back your audio tracks. But what is really cool, is that you can record your main mix onto the USB or onto an SD! We also added Bluetooth to this mixer to give you all the latest and greatest options.
Rockville RPM1470 14-Channel 6000 Watt Powered Mixer, 7 Band EQ, 24-Bit Effects, USB, Bluetooth, and 48V Phantom Power. RMS Power Output: 750 Watts x 2 @ 4 Ohm. 500 Watts x 2 @ 8 Ohm. Program Power Output: 1500 Watts x 2 @ 4 Ohm. 1000 Watts x 2 @ 8 Ohm. Peak Power Output: 3000 Watts x 2 @ 4 Ohm. 2000 Watts x 2 @ 8 Ohm.
14 Channel mixer section: 12 mono channels, 1 stereo channel. 14 high-quality XDR2 mica preamps with switchable +48 V phantom power for condenser microphones. XDR2 mica preamps are low-noise and low distortion. These are some of the best sounding mica pore’s on the market. Built in USB allows you to play songs from your computer or a thumb drive. Built in recording – allows you to record your main mix onto the USB or SD card . USB supported formats are MP3, WAV, WMA.
Built in advanced Bluetooth wireless audio streaming with the most reliable Bluetooth chip on the market. 24 BIT digital effects processor with 16 preset digital effects including (reverb, chorus,, delay, chorus, phase, flinger and various multi-effects). Effects level control can adjust signal level of each effect. Effects mute button. FX footswitch input lets you turn your effects on or off . 4-Band EQ (high, high-mid, low-mid, low) per channel.
Each channel has gain, aux control, FX control, Pan control, Volume control. Peak LED indicator has a red LED that indicates a signal level that is 5dB below clipping . Dual Stereo 7-band Graphic EQ allows for precise frequency correction of monitor and main outputs (with EQ kill switch). Aux send and Aux returns on every channel to connect all types of external effects and processors. You can control your monitor mix and check levels through your headphones . Limit L and Limit R LED indicators.
These limiters are designed to go brighter as clipping gets stronger and will remain lit up until the channels stop clipping. We recommend lowering the gain if you see these LED’s lit up. Power and Output level LED indicators. Main output fader allows you to fade the sound between the left and right channel. RCA input, RCA output, and USB player. Headphone jack for monitoring the master signal and individually monitoring each channel with PFL, L/R.

    The real story
The sound quality is warm and clear, works great with powered speakers just as a mixer, the effects were better than my Mackie mixer, the bluetooth is also a plus, the dual graphic eq is practical and very useful dealing with any feedback frequencies, and the 4 band eq on each channel is a plus over 3 band eq on most mixers, the board is easy to operate and adjust compared to the digital boards, this analog board is flexible and has that smooth warm clear sound instead of the sound I get out of my Mackie’s, I like this board it is old school which makes it a ease to operate, Let’s discuss price so low it’s a no brainer, I like this so much I now have one in my studio, and one in a club. That’s right I liked it so much I bought another one. I have read the lower rated comments and can say these guys just don’t know what they were doing. I can’t comment on the power amp because I don’t use it, my speakers are powered, but just think you have a dual back up amp. I would have paid double for this product.

    Excellent product
I have had this product for over a year now. The features work well. I use the Bluetooth connection, to play music through my Rockville speakers. My wife spent the Saturday just singing with connected Mics. Yes, she sounds excellent with Rockville RPM1470 14 Channel 6000w Powered Mixer. I am impressed with the power and quality of the sound.

    Solid for the price point
Used for an outdoor event with several hundred people. Had 6 vocals, a 12 string guitar, Bass, and a Keyboard. Plenty of power and coverage was great with my JBL Speakers. Good EQ, and effects.

Excellent value…Clean sound; only missing Main/Mon: L/R Option
Took a chance on this after my old PA head lost an amp. Very well built; all controls are smooth and power is very adequate for a good sized club. I use it for an open jam that can vary greatly in what instruments are present, and how many musicians are on stage at once. I find the sound “crisper” than my older Behringer head.My only (minor) issue is that it is really designed for passive mains and powered monitors; there is no switch to use it with passive mono main/passive mono monitor. I use the left channel for mains, and the right channel for monitors; this allows me to use the left/right faders to adjust overall balance between mains and monitors. I can use the pan control to tweak the individual levels. It’s not optimal, but it works. I also use the passive line output for a small powered monitor for the drummer to keep overall stage volume lower.Bottom line – its a great value, and very versatile with a little bit of ingenuity. So far Rockville has won my approval…longevity still to be determined.

    Clean sound
Easy to operate clean sound and effects, works well for our music group. The manual is a bit weak but emailing support got questions answered quickly.

You Get What you Pay for
I kept buying cheaper mixer boards for my live events for public speaking and they would burn out very quickly. I saw this, read the reviews and thought, it’s more than what I’ve been spending but lets give it a try. Crystal clear sound, easy to use and hook up, the product arrived earlier than scheduled and I couldn’t wait to try it. The unit was bigger than I expected but handled a very large event with over 300 people perfectly. In fact, a leader in the group even said it made the event appear even bigger than it was. Best board I’ve ever purchased.

Internal amp sound isn’t very good
I ordered this to replace my samson mixer because it only had 4 channels. The sound out of the amp on this one isn’t the greatest and honestly my samson one, which is only 400w, sounds louder and more clear. Being a problem solver, i simply ran the unpowered outputs on this mixer to the inputs on my samson and now i have the best of both worlds! This is great as a mixer, not so much as a sound pusher.
