This is a well-made printer designed to use Gap and continuous rolls of printer paper. For Gap paper you can use 12-15 mm wide up to 50mm long. Continuous paper is limited to 15mm wide. The printer comes with a roll of 12×40 mm gap label paper. Gap means there is a space in-between discrete labels.Based on the limitations of the paper size the printer is best suited to long narrow printed labels using mainly text. In the home you would have applications involving the kitchen, craft projects, the basement and the garage to name just a few. The printer uses Thermal technology to burn letter and text into special paper. There is no ink or ribbon to replace.The paper used is a multi-layer design, that has the sensitive thermal layer located a few layers down from the top surface. Under these protective layers your label can resist water, oil, abrasion and sun light.The printer is well-made using a plastic body. The outside of the case features an on/off switch, a small LED light which is to signify different operational modes and a switch to open the top of the printer to reveal the paper roll.The interface that controls the printer is an app called Snap & Tag that you load on your phone. The printer allows you to create and save custom labels. Or you can start with a template and add your own text and graphics.To connect to Bluetooth, I usually start the app first. Then I start the printer. If it doesn’t automatically Connect, I hit the little printer icon in the upper right-hand corner to go to device controls. At the bottom of the page hit Device connections.When creating a label, you access the app to open a fairly sophisticated word processor. Here when you create the label you can change the font size, style, alignment even the direction; Letters go left to Right or Top to bottom depending on how you want to orient the label. You can justify the text Left, Right and centered.You can add bar codes, QR codes, shapes, tables even images. All within the boundaries of the thin label. But with a label this thin, lines of TEXT are the most popular. And you can save what you create as a template for future use.If you select Label templates this brings up a menu of different pre-made labels. Labels the factory created and stored for us to use. The templates are associated with specific Gap and continuous rolls of paper. So, make sure the paper you have loaded matches with what the template expects.The printer works very well and creates nice Black and White labels. The Snap and Tag app works flawlessly in the background. It provides you with the ability to make all types of labels. You are only limited by the size of the paper.The printer meets my expectations. It’s not as well suited to creative activities like scrap books or printing stickers for the frig. But if you want to label spice jars, Bins in the garage, Storage containers or identification labels this is the tool you need. It works excellently. And I would recommend it.

Do I recommend the ORGSTA S001 Portable Label Maker? Yes, I do.After trying the ORGSTA S002 Sticker Printer and being impressed, I decided to give the S001 Label Maker a try, and it didnât disappoint. For about 25 bucks, this little device offers impressive value and a pretty decent app.Key Features:The printer comes with one roll of slightly glossy, sticker-backed thermal paper (length unspecified). Since it uses heat activation, thereâs no need for ink. However, like most thermal paper, itâs sensitive to high heat, which can darken it (think store receipts). This label maker prints exclusively in black and white (or whatever color labels you have), relying on dithering for limited shading, which is perfectly fine for its purpose as a label printer.Print speeds are decent and the results are very clear and crisp.App and Usability:To connect the printer, youâll need the Snap & Tag-efficient printing app (available on Google Play, but I canât confirm for iOS). Let the app handle the Bluetooth connection rather than pairing manually.The app includes various templates and useful features but has some quirks:- Font selection is limitedâyou canât use your system fonts, which feels restrictive.- Custom images and labels can be imported from your gallery. You can crop, resize, rotate, and add text, but the smaller sticker size and lower resolution mean youâll need to manage your expectations.- I ran into a bug where resized images in the editor didnât appear resized in the print preview or on the printed label. Hopefully, this gets fixed in future updates.- The margins are a bit larger than Iâd like with no ability to change it.One other oddity: The app suggests you need to register to save your designs. You donât. Just skip the sign-in and save it. It’ll make sense when you see it.Final Thoughts:The ORGSTA S001 hardware is solid, and the app, while not perfect, provides enough functionality for most labeling needs. The ability to import your own designs is a big plus and makes up for some of the appâs limitations. At around $25, this label maker is a great deal and should satisfy anyone looking for a budget-friendly, versatile option.
