this is an ok beginner drone
The bad review from a professional drone flyer who spends hundreds of dollars for a drone should be ignored. This is a drone made for beginners. It shouldnt be compared to a drone that costs hundreds of bucks haha. It does well compared to others in its price range. it has decent speed and the video quality isnt great butits average. The drone fies ok but could be more responsive, honestly. Battery life is average and lasts almost an hour.

    Long And Detailed Review
I ordered this for my husband who last year flew his DJI more than 99 percent of users. So, if anyone can give a detailed review on a drone, it would be him. I know nothing about drones, so needed his help with this one. I included pictures next to his DJI for comparison and proof of his flight time.Right out of the box I had a feeling this thing was going to be subpar at best. The plastic that the drone is made of feels very thin and fragile, and some parts on the drone weren’t properly assembled and had gaps where the two pieces of molded plastic met (see pictures). A wired internal component was actually coming out of a hole on the drone’s underside (also in pictures), I searched for tutorials for it just to see if it was supposed to have something jutting out from the inside, obviously, it wasn’t and I could only find 2 video’s-both not in English. I ended up just taking it apart to see what it was and it was an actual module that was supposed to be tucked inside. So I lovingly tucked it in and hoped for the best. There’s an attachment on the top of the drone that looks like it is meant to have a purpose (like a sensor or stabilizer or something) but it doesn’t and is an aesthetic that takes away from the drone’s sleekness. The arms of the drone fold awkwardly, bending at the middle of the arms. And I personally don’t like propellers that need to be screwed in to be fastened, but rather click in place like the DJI Mavic series. The controller is about as sturdy feeling as the drone itself and has an adjustable holder for your phone but doesn’t connect directly to the phone via wire, which is a risk because you’re relying strictly on the connectivity between the phone and drone through the somewhat sketchy app that you need to download to use the flying HUD. The app has features on it that are very undesirable WHILE flying like for example making the screen all wavy and trippy looking, an effect that you would maybe want to add to the video post-recording NOT while you’re flying a couple hundred feet in the air. The camera gimbal is controlled by two separate buttons as opposed to a dial which is sort of awkward and fumbly, one button to look up and one to look down. The controls for flying are straightforward if you’ve ever flown before, if you haven’t then maybe invest in a slightly more reputable brand if you really want to start flying drone. One reason is when I finally got it up it drifted like crazy, which the owner’s manual will warn you about, and comes with a manual-calibration button on the controller itself (which should be a red flag immediately). The fact that you have to recognize the drone drifting, press the manual-calibration button, fight with the drone in the opposite direction that it’s drifting, and finally set the calibration makes it not a very pleasurable experience. On top of all of this, the battery at full charge lasted under 15 minutes, and given how lightweight the drone is, flight time should be double that. I have a DJI Air 2S that weighs in at 1.3 pounds (3 times the weight of this drone) with a flight time of 25-30 minutes. Overall, you get what you pay for and my review is that of a drone enthusiast who has logged a heavy amount of flight time with much more expensive drones. If you wanna drop a hundred bucks to fly around and try to get a bird’s eye view of God’s green earth just understand the risks of getting an inexpensive drone.

    Just Okay
I ordered this for my husband and neither of us were impressed (nor was my 11-year-old daughter who we decided to give it to after we realized it wasn’t good enough in quality for adult use). It’s not well made. Cheap plastic. Difficult to control (not nearly as responsive as other models we have). Even my daughter got fed up with it after half an hour and went back to her usual drone. Overall, if you aren’t looking for something of high quality this may be okay. If, however, you expect some durability, responsive navigation, and quality materials, this probably will not meet your expectations.

    What a cool drone!
I use this for video recording and photos near my home. I didn’t have high hopes for this drone as I have ordered a smaller one in the past and never got it to work. My goal was to use a less expensive drone to learn how to use it before I went with a more expensive option. I also wanted to make sure it was enjoyable for me as a new hobby. Upon opening, I was impressed to see that this drone comes with nearly all you need to get going. It even comes with some spare parts and a hard case to stow it. I read all that I could read in the small pamphlet/instructions and felt i had a good grip on flying. I had to add the batteries for the remote so luckily I had some on-hand. I decided to try to use it without my phone in the controller and that turned out to be a great idea for my first few flights. It took me a while to get a good feel for how it flies but again, I was only using the manual controller. This kept my focus on the flight itself and not the photo/video features. In the end, my idea worked. I can now fly this drone with good confidence. After all of that I went forward with the phone added to the controller. That worked great and I got my first few video and photos. No, they are not high quality but they are there and the features are very nice to have and easy to use. In the end, I love this thing and I will keep using it to learn how to fly and use a drone’s features until I am a regular old Pro. It is well-made, lightweight, looks really cool and I would absolutely recommend it if you are just starting out with drones.
