Always Works: The Rocket nano XTRM (SB-XTMN) is designed with maximum performance in mind with its Thunderbolt 3 transfer mode, but it’s also compatible with older USB systems. You can plug it into just about anything and get reliable results. Share away.
Speed To Keep Up: Don’t settle for low compatibility and slow connections: the Rocket nano XTRM’s Thunderbolt 3 mode connects at 40Gbps for transfer speeds of up to 2700MBps. This is blazing fast, but the USB mode also transfers at up to 900MBps (USB 3.2 Gen 2×1) and has backward compatibility.
Rugged Portability: The SB-XTMN is meant to be taken on the go, designed to be small and able to handle the hazards of travel. The solid aluminum body helps with heat dissipation and improves durability. An optional, included silicon sleeve can further protect from drops and harsh environments.
Convenience At Your Fingertips: This portable SSD is designed to never get in your way. It’s plug and play with no drivers required, and is bus-powered. There’s no need to buy extra cables as it comes with both Thunderbolt and USB-C to USB-A cables to fit all of your devices.
It’s Sabrent: The Rocket nano XTRM is designed to work with Windows and macOS systems. It will also operate with other compatible Thunderbolt and USB devices.

    Blazing fast
This thing blew me away. I’ve been using the sandisk thumbdrives and they kept overheating and throttling. Massive transfers with this are fast and problem free. Best purchase all year. Drive is cool to the touch. No issues with my MacBook Pro. Instant loads with CDJ XDJ Rekordbox hardware.

    Awesome External Drive
Compact and super fast allowing this external drive to be used for all large files. Great performance from this drive, ended up buying the 2tb version too.

Great storage in small package. Not the fastest but workable. Travels well either way a MacBook Air.

    Solid Performer
Fast on Mac via Thunderbolt – roughly 2500/2700 (W/R). Built like a tank, so I don’t feel the need to carry it around in a special protective case. Generally runs cool, only slightly above ambient; which means good power efficiency and minor battery draw. Downside – the cable port fitment and retention is “loose;” which is kinda worrisome moving this drive around with a laptop. Compared to Sandisk Pro G40 – the Sandisk eeks out a slight performance edge at 2700 MB/s symmetrically, is broader yet slimmer in profile, and has VERY tight connector retention. Really it comes down to pricing.

    Very very fast!!
The spec on paper reads about 1500 megabits per second read/ write, compared to the SanDisk Extreme pro’s, which are somewhere in the 2000 megabits per second range, but this thing is crazy fast!I’m using it to back up my Google drive, through a drive imaging software, as well as straight file transfer both of which run at around 22 gig in volume. The transfer time from my PC to the SSD was about 2 minutes to do 22 gigs and around the same to do it as backup drive image. I then tried it to do the same transfer to and from my Samsung S23 Ultra, and it was as quick as doing it from a PC. So all in all, this thing is incredibly quick and it’s half the size of a SanDisk SSD.I also like it for its size and the aluminum case as well. It came with a protective rubber sheath, which is perfect to keep the finish looking nice and clean. It’s the first time I move away from SanDisk to another brand and I’m not disappointed! It’s a bit more expensive than the SanDisk, but worth every penny.

I never realized how slow my external SSD was until I got this
On a Mac Book Pro with thunderbolt 3/4 this drive is similar in speed of the internal Mac drive. This is great for editing in Davinci Resolve, On1, Luminar Neo, etc. The external SSD I had been using on my PC is connects usb-c but must be an older USB protocol which is super slow when compared to 40MBS thunderbolt drive. Comes with Thunderbolt cables not all USB-C cables will work correctly. When using the wrong cable drive may connect as 5mbs device rather than 40mbs.I’m happy with it, since you can’t upgrade a MAC’s internal HD, one or two of these is likely a requirement. Best thing by far is it’s speed.
