Works only intermittentl……wait a minute
After charging the receiver for the requisite 3 hours, I connected everything, and it didn’t work at all, transmitter was flashing despite correct TV settings, no obstructions (physical or otherwise). Wanting it to work, i powered everything on the next day and lo and behold, it worked beautifully! For about two hours until the transmitter suddenly again started flashing. Sad, because it would’ve been a great solution for my hard of hearing mom, but I just don’t have the time to fiddle with something so evidently unreliable. Returned tout de suite.EDIT: CHANGING TO FIVE STARSI was so troubled by this speaker not working, I opened the box I had repackaged for return as I was going “DUH, WHY DIDNT YOU TRY THE RCA INSTEAD OF INSISTING ON OPTICAL”?Well, that did it.1. I removed the battery from the receiver, and used the power cord.2. I connected via RCA rather than optical.It has worked perfectly, consistently, ever since. Even if if gives out in a month, it’s been worth the cost so that the rafters don’t shake when my mom watches TV.Try all connections, don’t futz with the battery charging stuff, plug it in.

Works exactly as expected
We needed a solution for my motherâs loud tv at night. This was super easy to set up and sits right next to her on her nightstand and she can hear the sound and understand what theyâre saying without having it so loud that rest of the house has to hear it, too. I only wish weâd found it sooner.

Not the same as a previous purchase of this brand.
Purchased this as 2nd unit for a TV in another room and maybe to use in the yard for hard hearing. Dad on 12/7 stopped working AM 12/12. This unit was charged with lights, green on the base, and speaker. Moved across the room, and the speaker lights flashed green for about 3-5 mins and turned solid green, but there was no sound. Decided to put the speaker on base, waited again for 3-5 mins for the speaker light to turn solid, and turned it on again with no sound. Finally, after many fustigating hours, I got the sound after changing the TV settings and got it to work. But on 12/12, I turned on the lights flashing on the speaker, and there was no sound. It took a lot of work to set up, with limited directions, no support online, and crickets for troubleshooting problems. By the way, 1st unit purchased 10/2019 is still working. Easy setup: charged base and speaker moved to bedside and sound immediately. Not a happy purchase. Returning and trying the other brand.

Had it about a month and it stopped working.
Worked great about a month and now it will not charge. Need to figure out why. will not charge! Cannot return, past the return date! do not buy this!

Currently have one which works very well. The purpose of the second did not work as I’d hoped.
My husband uses his all the time. However, if its on all day, it does need recharged. I was hoping the speakers would be interchangeable so one could be used while one charged. But to work they must be also hooked to TV. That cannot be done with two speakers. The one he already has is amazing and I do recommend it for those who have trouble hearing.

I’m sitting about 20 ft from the charger and the connection is still perfect. Sound quality is very good. It’s also light weight to carry and has a nice base to sit on.
