great value, major diference in sound quality especially fo sports broadcast
What an improvement in sound quality on my Sony 65″ TV. Voices are clearer, music is fuller and I can finally hear sports announcers and not just the crowd noise. Setup could not be easier. Just one HDMI cord, plug it in and its done. (It even worked fine with my non-arc HDMI cord) My dish satalite remote paired up just fine with powering on/off and adjusting volume.The only odd thing is the “holes” built in on the back for wall mounting. They are 18″ on center since the standard for walls in a house are 16″ I had to get some simple angle brackets, but it is quite light so 2″x2′ work fine with velcro holding it in place. (Still invisible mounting)

Excellent sound
I also have a Sony sound system with 5 surround speakers and a sub woofer. This one sound bar is almost as enjoyable as that. Definitely better than the sound from the Sony tv. I was concerned about it being refurbished but it is in excellent condition and performs flawlessly

Excellent Sound Bar
Great sound. Easy to setup and use. This is a great companion to newer TVs that have horrible sound. I will say while the sound is exceptional it doesn’t have tons of bass or body for music. Excels as a basic TV watching sound bar.

The TV I’m using this with, lacked in good sound. It is a TCL ROKU TV that has an ARC out (HDMI) jack. When I connected everything, and powered the TV on, the sound bar started with it, no need to turn on with its’ remote. My system has a Sony surround system, that I’ve had since 2008. It is connected with an optic to RCA converter. I can’t have the sound bar and the surround on at the same time. If both are on at the same time it sounds like an echo chamber. Regardless of that, the sound with just the Sony sound bar is excellent.

fantastic sound and build quality for the price
We needed a better options for sound from a vintage 36â lcd tv we have in our master bedroom. While the picture was fine, the audio from the tiny inbuilt speakers was truly awful. I bought this having seen other positive reviews, and am extremely happy with it. The sound quality Is high, with powerful volume and bass, we could never have imagined such an impressive presence from such a small box. Itâs extremely easy to setup and install, and sits nicely on top of the tv screen. Highly recommend.

Refubished – no accessories, many scratches, poor sound
Like listening to a child’s toy. The sound quality is marginally better than a cheap TV. The refurbished sound bar was delivered with many visible scratches and marks but no accessories, not even a power cord. I found a power cord and connected it to a TV via a SPDIF optical connection. The sound was very weak, slightly worse than a UE Megaboom for comparison. Volume did not change via TV remote although that may be a function of the TV. Without the remote that should have been included this made it a non-starter even if the sound quality would have been better. Don’t bother with a new unit, there are better options. As “refurbished” this was a complete waste of time.

ARC Didn’t Work 🙁 Sound Is OK
What can I say, a refurbished Sony soundbar for $50 is a good deal. Its an improvement over my TV speakers, but not by much. I was hoping to be blown away with an improvement over the TV speakers. That didn’t happen. It has decent sound. I should have invested in something a little better. The HDMI ARC doesn’t work with my Hisense set either, that was a disappointment. Fortunately, I bought a 3rd party Roku TV replacement remote that let me program the volume buttons so at least I don’t have to deal with using the sound bar remote after all. Some people said the sound was “tinny”. Its not that bad.

Works great!!
I got this soundbar because my husband loves to watch movies really loud and I didn’t want him blowing up my speakers on my TV. It works wonderful, great sound and it was so reasonably priced.
