The Sound Town SWM16-4MEGA is a compact wireless microphone and karaoke mixer system. It comes with four channels, 50 selectable UHF frequencies per channel (200 channels in total) and is interference-free. The receiver has one 3.5mm (1/8″) TRS and one optical input connector, and one 3.5mm, 6.35mm (1/4″) TRS and one optical output connector. Found one that works for me!
I initially bought the SWM 15 with HDMI connections but had trouble getting my Sony Bravia to the mixer and to my Samsung sound bar to work. I tried multiple ways of connecting them with the supplied cables. I even tried using the AUX cable from my tv to mixer and optical cable to my sound bar like I read in another review but it didn’t work. I ended up returning the mixer and bought the SWM 16-pro with Optical connections. I connected the optical cable to my tv’s audio optical out to the mixer optical in than the other optical cable that was supplied to my sound bar and VOILA. Easy peasy! That’s how easy I thought it would be with the 1st unit but I’m not sure if my tv is older but using the HDMI ARC didn’t work for me. I hope this helps you out because I tried to read a lot of reviews and watch videos but it was trial and error for me.

Great Karaoke mixer
I was little bit hesitant to order this mixer system because of some bad reviews bad nothing to lost if you try it, you can return it if doesnât sound good. But here I am giving a honest opinion I was surprised that this mixer was better than I expected you just need to know how to adjust correctly. Unnoticeable lags but not a problem we love this system and Iâm planning to buy another one for gift. Value for money is good, easy to connect, not bulky, sounds great. Please refer to the picture for right tuning. Hopefully this can help you how to set up your karaoke mixer system for best sounds.

This is the perfect device for home karaoke! What I like:Compact – it takes up hardly any space below the TVGreat sound – the mics sound great and are very simple to use. We’ve never had any problems with feedback, even when standing under the speakerBattery life – we’ve used the mics for about eight hours, and still full batteriesCables included – the packages includes all the cables you might need. I used both toslink cables to get sound from the TV in and then to my amplifier out.The device easily connected to my home stereo and plays over my in ceiling speakers. I didn’t need to get a large, bulky device. I noticed my favorite KTV places have switched to just a tablet with YouTube on it. This is in fact a better experience than the dedicated units with downloaded midi songs. The same setup works great at home. Just use YouTube on your Smart TV, and connect this device to mix in your microphones.So much fun, and it’s easy enough for the whole family to operate.

Bad sound Quality & Connection issues
I purchased this unit in December. The build quality is good and it has plenty connection types it even has Bluetooth, if this would have worked properly this would have been hands down the best wireless mic.Unfortunately its nothing but a paper weight, the microphone cut in and out constantly to the point where it’s not even usable, you can’t go more than 5 feet before it starts cutting out. The sound quality is also pretty bad you are constantly getting distortion even after trying to adjust the gain or volume.

Delay with microphones
I really wanted this system to work. Easy set up and pretty much a one stop shop. Unfortunately, the microphone delay was too much . Tried to work with it, but it just didnât cut it.
