Could not get energy monitoring to work.
I bought this because of the Schneider/Square D brand name, but am very disappointed. Really wanted this to work because I could not find another brand name outlet that has energy monitoring. Sure there are plenty of plugs but for a specific application in my house I didn’t want a plug.Installed easy, though tabs are not perforated in a way to easily clip them off to fit in your standard 4″ RACO style square GFCI faceplate you might have in your basement, attic, garage. I had to snip them off with a metal snip.The app is very rudimentary, all I wanted was energy monitoring and perhaps ability to set energy monitoring alerts if unusual activity was detected.See the picture attached to this review – I tried various appliances connected to both outlets but it didn’t measure any wattage being pulled, despite the devices being conspicuously powered on.For $50 rather disappointed and sent it back.

Excellent Duplex outlet with power monitoring on Both outlets!
When I bought mine, Amazon didn’t sell them so I had to get them from the big box store.The hardware is impressive, they support WPA3 WiFi security and why I bought them was that both outlets were monitored for power, but only one of them allowed the outlet to be switched off. That allowed me to plug my Refrigerator into the un-switched outlet preventing the possibility of switching it off by mistake. I also bought one of these for my Chest freezer for the same reason. The cost of switching them off by mistake could be a lot of money. The only downside is the Wiser app, its pretty rudimentary, and its logging capability is awful. If you want long term logging you must implement the Sense/Wiser device on your breaker panel which I did. Its OEM Sense, and basically something that is not ready for prime-time. It’s been over a year and still shows 75% of the devices in my house as UNKNOWN. What a joke. And of course you cannot add or teach it new devices. It has to find them on its own, its like waiting for grass to grow in a drought.
