Outstanding product! But read the instructions people!
Love it! Easy if you take a moment to learn how to use it. I see alot of complaints but it’s clear that people are not reading the quick start guide. It comes with a guide that teaches you how to use it and it’s important to read it. That start guide tells you how to simply balances it and which weights to add. Initial operation isn’t always intuitive. The handle is intentionally short because you use your thumb or index to control the rotation.Like most, I popped it out of the box, discarded the paperwork thinking, “duh, how hard could it be” I was quickly frustrated that I couldn’t control the turn or get the balance right. Then I read the handly little card… bingo! It works great now, it makes sense, and best of all, it really works well. So let me answer some questions that I had:1. Yes, it works great with the Hero2! And of course it works great with the Hero/Hero3/Hero42. Yes, it comes with three weights; a small, med and large. You use different weights/combo of the three depending on the type of GoPro you have; Hero, Hero2, Hero3, Hero4 or any of the above with the LCD or extra battery. Shockingly (sarcasm)… the instructions tell youThis is a great product. The other negative reviewers here clearly didn’t read the directions. And you know what? Practice makes you better! Don’t give up on it!

In a word this is a useless gadget and it is a pity because the choice …
Frankly I don’t understand how some of the reviewers could balance the Curve Stedicam with the Hero 4 plus the LCD monitor mounted on top.I tried for hours and eventually added some lead weights the the bottom in order to increase the vertical inertia and lower the oscillation frequency by lengthening the pendulum.The result was even more frustrating and the Curve kept pointing the GoPro in random directions.Naturally, I could stabilize it by by touching the collar but that induced vibration defeating the purpose of the device.In a word this is a useless gadget and it is a pity because the choice of materials and the quality of the build is excellent.I found that I could get better stability by using a very long selfie stick, taping some lead weights to the GoPro and moving slowly.

Had a really tough time deciding how many stars to give this one. For what it is, it seems to be well manufactured, using good quality materials and engineered well. It’s purpose, design, and execution are a different story. Steadicams for larger cameras work better, simply because the weight of the camera and the counterweight are substantial enough that wind and other factors don’t seem to interfere as much.The GoPro is a light camera, and this steadicam is pretty compact, so it was tough enough to keep it steady indoors let alone outside if there was any wind. It kept wanting to drift from side to side, so keeping a straight on shot seemed near impossible. It would have worked OK for short clips, but frustrating to use. I practiced quite a bit, but I have short patience for stuff like this.A note on the handle, I have very small hands, and the handle still felt small. I can only imagine how awkward this would be for anyone with medium to large hands.Sorry, but not worth a hundred bucks in my opinion.

Super cook product
Super cook product. It however will never be a true gimbal . Definitely won’t work with gopro 4, 5 or the sessions. I’ve tried everything and have tried to add weights to the gopro and the bottom of the steadicam. With the 3 it balances well and makes for a better shot but no matter what you will always have this weird wobbly motion to your videos instead of shakey. Might be better to some people for $20 but I can’t stand either the shake or wobble, or using the old gopro 3. So I’ll stick with my skylab gimbal and gopro 5 and 6. Want some amazing cinematic shots? You have to buy a real gimbal this will just drive you up a wall trying to get perfect when it just doesn’t have the ability. Does make for a cool regular grip when you clip it to the handle and don’t use the steadicam part. That’s why I kept it for my session. Worth $20 just for that? probably not, I just already had it and decided mine as well keep it
