Pedal works exactly as it should.
My keyboard is a Roland and I didn’t have to change the switch setting. It worked straight out of the box. It has a “tight” feeling to it which makes it a little bit harder to press, but it doesn’t seem to affect my playing so I’m totally satisfied with it. And the price is unbeatable.

A beginners opinion
I am just learning to play and have never used a pedal before. My first keyboard had a sustain button but my new one didn’t. This is a fun way to play with the sound. It works great and was only a little more than six dollars!
