The 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD (Model A047Z) for Nikon Z mirrorless cameras is a telephoto zoom lens designed and created so photographers of all skill levels can enjoy high quality images comfortably. It achieves the world’s smallest size and lightest weight, coming in at 5.9 in. long with a maximum diameter of 77mm, and weighing just 20.5 oz. With special emphasis on resolving power, Tamron has deployed special lens elements appropriately arranged to correct chromatic aberration, generally very strong in a telephoto lens, as well as other aberrations. Users can enjoy high-resolution images combined with the stunning bokeh qualities that are achievable only with a telephoto lens. The lens also incorporates the RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) unit, a high-speed precision AF drive system that is remarkably quiet. The 70-300mm is a versatile lens for photographing landscapes, sports and other action, pets and wildlife and more. The lens also demonstrates its potential for portrait shooting, casual snapshots and scenarios that require you to be mobile and shoot handheld, like sporting events. With the Nikon Z-mount version, users can employ the dedicated TAMRON Lens Utility software. This feature enables users to easily update the lens to the latest firmware themselves, without going through the camera. On the firmware information screen, users can confirm that their lens has the latest version and perform an update if newer firmware is available. Designed for full-frame, the lens is at home on APS-C mirrorless cameras and provides a 105-450mm equivalent field-of-view.

Incredibly Powerful Lens for Enthusiast
For those of us who are “serious hobbyists” this is, without a doubt, a perfect zoom lens. For a Z-mount lens, the price is fantastic compared to similar options currently available. Yes, it’s a variable F-stop up to 6.3, which could potentially be a frustration when zooming to 300 mm in very low light situations. But how common is that, honestly? For me personally, that’s a rare scenario. I’m extremely impressed with the clarity across the entire focal range, and the autofocus speed is solid as well. Highly recommended!

Perfect for starters
Iâm not a pro photographer, and I was searching for a budget-friendly option with a good focus range. I came across this lens. At first glance, it may not have crystal-clear sharpness, but overall, it gets the job done. Itâs among the best lenses in this price range. Being plastic, itâs lightweight. I recommend giving it a try; it wonât disappoint you, but donât expect miracles.

Wow! Great Lens
Iâm amazed by the quality of this lensâespecially for the price. I compared it to my Nikkor Z 24-200mm lens(over the 70-200mm range) and the Tamron was as sharp or sharper in every case. The 24-200 Nikkor is not an S lens, but itâs a very good lens. The Tamron focuses quickly and accurately. I have the Nikkor Z 100-400 lens and love it (unfortunately Iâm traveling and donât have it with me so I havenât compared picture quality between it and the Tamron). However, the Z 100-400 mm weighs almost 3 pounds. The Tamron is only 300 mm maximum but also just over 1 pound. Iâm 77 years old, so the weight difference is important. For most photos in the 100+ range, the Tamron is my go to lens.

This lens is sharp, compact and lightweight. If you have Z8 or Z9 or Z6iii maybe, you will be happy with autofocus and image sharpness. Other old bodies you will be disappointed, many pictures are out of focus.Best lens for travel and everyday casual photography.

Even though it is an inexpensive lens it is sharp & I get good results from it.Wish it had anti shake (lol) in the lens but it is still a good lens & not too heavy.

In the limited time I have used this new lens, Iâm very pleased with it. Itâs light and operates quickly and quietly. A travel pouch would be ideal and isnât included.Iâm happy with this for my Nikon ZFc and feel that the size and weight are appropriate for this compact camera. .
