Product Description

high quality audio – listen to crystal clear sound through two 4” bass drivers and a pair of neodymium tweeters, a flow-optimised bass reflex duct delivers deep natural bass. all together you get 38 watts per channel — that’s around 100 decibels of incredible sounding stereo that fills the entire room.
versatile connectivity – in addition to fm radio and line-in (aux), OB–4 supports both high-definition wireless bluetooth and bluetooth low energy (ble). it also works with ortho remote for wireless volume control or use the orthoplay app, available on both iOS and android. compatible with all of your favorite music streaming services, including spotify and apple music.
72 hours of battery life – a long lasting battery gives you 72 hours of normal radio listening for a week without charging. the high capacity lipo battery delivers about 8 hours of noise at max volume, or an average of 40 hours on a single charge.
magic user experience – OB–4 memorizes everything you play on an endless looping tape. rewind the radio and remix anything. use your fingers to grab, spin and interact with the sound with the digital-motion controlled volume knob and tape reel. disk mode is where new and experimental features are stored for OB–4. for now, there are three functions on the disk; ambient, karma and metronome.
ultimate portability – the handle makes it easy to carry OB–4 anywhere, and can even be used as a stand. place the included smart spiral antenna antenna in the handle when you need an extra fm boost. if that’s not enough, you can find custom fit OB–4 carry bags and carry straps available in a variety of colors.

cost is steep, may make you overthink its actual quality/usecase
this is a nice speaker that was made to be much more than a speaker, and at first when i got it, was very displeased, as sounds on it were just much much different than what i have used for years past; but this is largely in part with I am using lower-mid grade speakers and this is not that.First of all, this thing is a BOOM BOX.I cannot really play any of my black metal / heavy metal / anything metal louder than 35% in my apartment before it exceeds all over devices sound. You can feel the music at all sound levels. Truly. Which i find to be very unique. And this is much more than a speaker, and if you dont read the possiblities of what this does before hand, you will be a bit sad when you consider the price to speaker. but this is an instrument.full fledged, with 2 hours of playback on the tape, mixxing up some of the craziest sounds from just random radio snipets / song snipets, along with scratching, speeding up, slowing down, changing pitch, looping, etc. you have to take some time to learn all these functions as you have 4 Human interface inputs on the device with about 16 or more actions associated with them, being a combination of a button held here and dial moved there, two buttons, etc.comes with good documentation on all the use-case.oh and this battery is the best of any bluetooth speaker ive ever seen with the quality of sound putting out.i have left it on for two days playing music off and on while always atleast connected to BT before it tends to show me red on the light and that means charge it.would be good for parties, and is a sturdy device. but high value, and small. easy to steal so dont set it down!

High quality, whimsical speaker that you don’t need but will love
Look, nobody needs this thing. It’s very expensive. But if you’re here reading reviews, you might understand the appeal. This lets you interact with music in a way that other speakers don’t. It’s not quite an instrument, but it’s a lot more than a $650 bluetooth speaker. And if you’re interested in messing around with time, loops, weird ambient effects, etc., it’s absolutely fantastic – it definitely encourages an active approach to listening to music.Yes, you can do all of these things with other cheaper setups, but it’s the entire package with the spinning knobs and the dials and the lovely sound quality and portability that make it what it is.Sound quality and build quality are both excellent. So the big question to ask yourself is will the quirks and whimsy of this thing justify the price, and that’s totally a personal decision. If you think it will, then go for it. There’s nothing like it. I’m really glad I supported this kind of weirdo product design, even at this price point. If you don’t think the features and quality are worth what they’re asking, don’t buy it. You likely won’t have your mind changed when it’s in your hands. It is exactly what it’s advertised to be.

Great radio if you want to use the cord all the time!!!
The battery life sucks!!!! I keep it always charged and it will only last maybe a hour or so I have better radios that last longer and Iâm not even using the gimmicks in the OB-4 just Bluetooth so we can listen to tunes at the lake!!! Iâm not happy about it!! Especially with the damn price I paid for it!!! Please think twice about buying the radio/bluetooth small boom box!! The battery life sucks!!!

Sophisticated and beautiful
I think if youâre looking for something aesthetic and well designed and engineered. This is it. Beautiful in every aspect from a design standpoint. It delivers balanced sound that is room filling, unique features, and stunning bauhaus design. Dare I say Dieter Rams graced this product? Haha. Teenage engineering will not disappoint. Worth every penny.

Sounds amazing, features wear off, so darn expensive!
It has the best sound in a portable bluetooth speaker I’ve found. Much better than my beloved Audioengine B2 and much better than Sonos One. I find the features nifty, but not really useful. I wish I could get the courage to return it, but I’m going to keep it because the sound is really, really good.Over Memorial Day weekend, we put it in a triangular (not a right triangle) nook, and it was almost night-club loud, at least for the 8 of us at a country house.

Expensive but novelty thrives
You wonât accidentally stumble across this product. You have done your research and know what you are getting into. If you did all the research, this product is for you – small profile carries some heavy punches, great product.

Awesome, but save your money
I love TE and all their quirky devices and this âmagic radioâ is no exception. Itâs got a premium quality feel to and the sound is REALLY good. The functions are nice and unexpected, but youâll quickly start using this device as a BT speaker if youâre not too heavily invested in music production. And for the price point, I canât really justify any of this as a selling point. Youâll find much better BT for cheaper elsewhere. The radio aspect combined with some of the effects the OB-4 comes with quickly wane. Unless you have a real nice discretionary spending budget, then go ahead and purchase this exceptional radio/BT speaker. If you donât, please trust me on this one when I say you REALLY DONâT need it.

Amazing if you need a portable studio monitor
The sound out of this is great, but the killer feature is the latency-less line in.
