Central part of my new usb c upgrade. Read the full review for my detailed unbiased opinion
I never imagined I would like a USB Powered hub like this. Check the photo, it has it all and is ready for more. It is sitting on my desk as the central part of my USB C 3.2 upgrade solution. It powers drives, I have it charging my laptop, connected to 2 other non-powered USB C hubs and use it to power them, and my other devices. I am now using an unpowered USB C hub connected to it for charging my apple watch, iphone, ora ring, and have an extra port incase someone else needs to charge something. I have plugged into the base unit my SSD drives, my Jetson AGX ORIN ai server, and it helped me eliminate 2 entire power strips. I am about to add 2 more M.2 SSD drives to my systems because it has both the power capacity and the speed to handle multiple drives because of the 10Gbps throughput I need for my connecting my multiple SSD drives. If you need either a) the power of 100 Watts b) the speed of 10Gbps c) USB 3.2 hub d) or a way to extend your USBC devices for both USB 3.2, USB 3.1, USB 3, and USB 2 capabilities, this has it all in one. If you need any one of those, or a combination of a couple of them, or like me, all of them, this is the best USB C hub I have ever seen. It completely exceeded my expectations in every way. I thought if it could just power my macbook I would be happy, but it powers EVERYTHING. If you are not as impressed as I am I would be absolutely stunned. If you only need one of those features it is a great buy, but to have them all is shockingly good.

Useful adapter but cannot be used to charge
This is good for my MacBook which has only 2 ports, unfortunately there isn’t enough power to use it to charge a device.

A nice little hub to access your external drives and have power delivery at the same time.
The hub is a nice decent small enough size to portable work. It has a nice short braided attached cable. I like that the hub does not need external power to power up external hard drives and only uses USB bus power. Plug and play with my external drives without problems and my laptop was able to recognize and access all the drives plugged into it.Depending on your external hard drive power consumption, since each one can be different, you can attach and access up to 4 external hard drives at once, but transfer will be hindered of course. Although I have had some old WD passports going through the power cycle loop while I have other drives connected and accessing, it powers up 4 attached M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure drives without hiccups, but they do consume less power than my old WD passport drives. The power delivery worked like it should, but it feels it charges slower than if you were plugged in directly, which I have experienced in other PD hubs. The hub did not feel hot to touch after long period of use, but only got a little warm, which is normal for passive cooling devices. I used plenty of UGREEN items like their chargers, cables, and hubs, so this hub is on par with their other products, which is good. Overall, this is a good portable PD USB-C hub that I can recommend to others looking to buy one. Of course, if you are looking for one with both USB-C and USB-A ports, you should look for something different.

Unfussy, fast, well-designed.
My laptop is old, and only has one USB-C port, which gets really annoying when I have to use multiple devices that use USB-C at the same time (e.g., my SSD and USB-C flash drive); I had to resort to USB-A to C cable, which significantly slows down read/write time. Hence: USB-C hub! This device provides five extra USB-C ports, one of which doubles as power delivery. Compliments to the design; the power delivery port is on the opposite side from the other four ports, and that makes it really easy to remember which one it is. Unfortunately, the power delivery part is the only part I could not test – I had to borrow someone else’s laptop, hence the crappy pictures rather than screenshots. Keep it mind, this device will only really work with a laptop that has at least one USB-C port. (The cable attached to the hub is non-removable USB-C.) Another thing I liked: this hub has ports that are set apart at a good distance from one another and accommodated four different USB-C devices of varying sizes with ease, including three flash drives that are wider than USB-A ports. Keeping in mind I was using a decent USB-C SSD as test medium…this hub still clocked in pretty impressive write speeds. I wish I was at my own laptop so that I could have tested write speed when three or more devices are working at the same time, but this is leaps and bounds above what I’ve been stuck with while using USB-A to C cables. (I might revisit this review later if I have time to test more.) Anyway, I’ve had good experience with UGREEN products in the past, they are pretty reliable, and I’m looking forward to using this on a regular basis.

works perfectly!
this works perfectly! I use it to power my NI Maschine drum machine. It works well. I only wish it would continue to charge the laptop when I close the top

Can’t go wrong with UGreen
This USB-C just works, I’ve never had an issue with a UGREEN product so this continues that trend

Does not distribute power if you plug it into the 2024 Model 3 center console. This is not the fault of this adapter, but just FYI.
