Waste of time and money
The first one I purchased did not fully illuminate all of the lights and then the replacement I ordered doesnât charge nor function longer than a few seconds. The first one functioned totally normal, just was missing the complete light section. Whereas this one doesnât work 50% of the time and the other 50% it wonât even stay illuminated longer than a few seconds. I would highly suggest not purchasing from this company.

Handy ring light doubles a hand-held rig. Will add on a mic to complete the set. Achieved a pleasing lighting effect if held closely around the subject ( model’s face or pet ) without causing ugly shadows. Effective and simple to add lighting and/or get rid of shadow areas around the subject. Indispensible if you use the phone cam for close-distance shots

With the built-in LED lighting and power bank, I like that I can travel lighter and not need to bring a separate lightbox or power bank; I believe the built-in power bank is enough for short periods of recording and photography sessions. It is nice that the spring-loaded smartphone holder is casted out of aluminum and it holds my smartphones securely.I did need to use my own dual ended USB-C cable to charge my Pixel 6a; I can confirm that the internal power bank can reliably quick charge the phone. Only when the internal power bank charge is close to empty, the charging feature disconnects frequently.Things I like about this video rig:-Comfortable handle grip shape-Bluetooth remote shutter has secure holding spot on the right handle-Retractable legs for stability when setting down-Four-stage battery indicator LEDs for internal power bank-Having smartphone in portrait orientation allows me to record at lower angles by holding the rig sidewaysThings I did not like about this video rig:-Plastic construction creaks when twisted and flexed-Rotating the brightness dial upwards dims the LEDs-Silicone rubber handle grips are dust magnets-Weight distribution feels heavier on the right-hand side due to internal battery locationThings I wish this video rig had:-A cut-out loop or an extra 1/4-inch threaded mounting point underneath the right handle for adding on a lanyard-Cable management tie down points-A small lanyard for the Bluetooth remote shutterConstruction wise, I feel that the plastic framing could have been made with a more rigid plastic; I must be mindful of how much clamping force is applied with the top cold shoe mounting points. I will most likely add on a lanyard to the side 1/4-inch mount for handling this rig securely outside.Unless the subject I am capturing is close, I found the LEDs are not overly bright enough to overcome bright daylight; For low lighting and dim condition, this video rig works fine and I can always mount-on additional light boxes.
