I previously used two Sony SRS-XB43 speakers as my main Hifi in my RV trailer. I found that they sound great, but are very unstable as a pair. In use, they disconnect randomly, have problems keeping the stereo pair, and are absolutely TERRIBLE for listening, when getting interrupted several times a day.Bluetooth is weird, has all sorts of problems, and it’s impossible to know why it misbehaves. There are definitely issues with older Bluetooth, and compatibility issues betwen older and newer bluetooth.Whatever, I decided to say goodbye to Sony, and get two more Boom speakers to add to my two BOOM3. Now, I have 4 boom speakers, I can easily use in party-mode. So far, it works great. No dropping, and no weird bluetooth issues. A great deal on black friday sale, i’m happy I now have a good long-term audio solution.

Great speaker. What’s with the religious cross pattern of the buttons?
We love this speaker and use it all of the time. The only thing that I don’t like is that the PLUS and MINUS volume controls are positioned to look like a religious cross. In normal math, the MINUS sign would be positioned horizontally so I can’t believe that it wasn’t intentional. We are not particularly religious and I don’t like a manufacturer pushing their religious views on us. I fixed it by coloring the tips of the + and the – to make them look smaller and not so obvious as to what we believe they were intended to look like.

A perfect portable speaker
This speaker has to be one of the best in its size. It definitely has a deep bass which is perfect for watching movies, listening to music, especially indoors. It sounds like it was a subwoofer in there this is awesome.The audio is clear and almost feels like a blessing to my ears. I did have to touch the eq a bit to have it sound exactly how I wanted it and itâs perfect now.I own a UE Hyperboom and a JBL boombox 3 and this little guy sounds as close as it can get to those 2. In terms of sound quality these are really close the only difference is the volume, the hyperboom and boombox will be a lot louder of course.Battery life seems to be very competent as I could use it for a whole day of playing music and not running out of battery

Great sound
Was going to buy Sanos and hear they restricted what and how you play your music. This in one of 4 purchased and with the app they all connect effortlessly. The fine tuning of sound through app is easy and the sound quality and distance is outstanding.

Poor Sound Quality, Stuttering When Paired, Crackling Noises
Just plain bad sound quality. Very flat. Loud, yes, but poor quality overall.The only reason I bought it was to pair it with my old Megaboom. That feature doesn’t work. Anytime you open or close the UE app the sound pauses completely for .5-1 second, each speaker consistently crackles and the sound isn’t even paired, they are clearly off by a fraction of a second which makes listening to music headache inducing. This feature simply was never figured out by their engineers and they pass it as “working”.After swearing by my original UE Megaboom, then trying this, I won’t be buying another UE product ever again. Going with Klipsch who is a trusted brand that would never put out this poorly developed of a product.

Hyperboom functionality
I bought it so that it would work well with the hyperboom which Ive for 2.5 years. Hyperboom went through an update after epic boom release now it turns off while plugged into power after software update.I have used my hyperboom as a soundbar throughAUX for 2.5 years. I’ve kept it plugged in and it has always stayed on, NOW IT TURNS OFF. After 15 minutes of no usage it turns off even while plugged and it is hidden behind the TV. Crazy how a software update can ruin an item. FIX THIS PROBLEM NOW.HYPERBOOM SHOULD NOT TURN OFF WHILE PLUGGED INTO POWER! I have contacted customer support to no avail. Since my hyperboom is now unsustainable I no longer want to invest in UE even though the epic boom is nice I gotta sell my hyperboom and return the epic.

The bass is really good, the build is amazing, it connects to other speakers really easily and well (there is zero lag when you connect to other speakers and sounds really good) one thing to note is that the bass comes out the front and the music comes out of the sides for all around sound. Some people will love that but for me it makes it harder to just be loud in one direction. It also is about as loud as my boom 3 which is loud, just not loud enough for this type of speaker.

I was blown away with the sound system and the design, but the battery life changed my mind. It says 17 hours but itâs actually 3-4 hours of full volume on. Very disappointing!
