Amazing and easy to setup
The sound bar system is very impressive. It’s very easy to set up. My T.V. seems to recognize it as a native sound source. Once I hook it up, the sound comes out the speakers, and pressing volume up/down/mute on the TV remote control. When I turn my T.V. off, it automatically turns off the speakers, and when I turn on the T.V., the sound bars turn on after about maybe a five second warm-up delay. The sound system sounds great, but I’ve never had a sound system before, so compared to the T.V., it sounds amazing. The sounds are louder, and the range of sounds is better. On my native T.V. speakers, voices are often drowned out by sound effects, ambient sounds, and music. In video games, I have to lower all other sounds and raise voice sounds. On the sound bar speakers, the voice sounds perfectly audible and not too soft compared to other sounds. The bass is perfect for me. I don’t need too strong bass, and I don’t want my floor or walls reverberating or being a nuisance to neighbors. I’m happy with the default sound levels, so I’m not sure how deep it can go.Overall, I just plugged stuff in and it worked very well! My biggest issue with my T.V. speakers was not hearing voices in games and shows, and this solved it perfectly!

Nice sound
The size is about half the size of my older unit but actually sounds better. The sub-woofer is wireless and is designed to be placed behind you since the rear surround speakers attach to it. The unit supports multiple inputs including Bluetooth, optical, aux, and HDMI. The one issue is that I first tried to use optical with my Fire TV Cube, and that worked ok (optical out from the TV), but the Fire TV remote could not control the soundbar as the Ultimea brand was not in the list of supported A/V equipment. To get around this I switched to HDMI and connected the Fire TV to the HDMI input on the soundbar and then connected the HDMI out to the CEC HDMI input on my TV. This allows the TV to control the soundbar (volume/power). This worked fine. It would be nice if the soundbar was supported by other equipment. Note that you could also use the included Ultimea remote to control volume and power, but I did not want to use multiple remotes.

Fantastic Sound from a Compact Set!
I really needed a surround system for our master suite and this ULTIMEA set fit the bill perfectly. It’s fairly compact so it will fit in just about any space. Set up was super simple! It comes with all the cables you need including HDMI, optical, RCA, and 3.5mm jack to jack. I used the HDMI cable to take advantage of the eARC technology that came with my TV. I just plugged in the speakers which are all labeled, plugged in the subwoofer and main bar to a standard power outlet and turned it on. It automatically set itself up and worked without any programming. The TV recognized that it was connected to a Dolby Atmos enabled sound bar so it changed it’s output to Dolby Atmos. For a compact system the sound is pretty incredible. It probably won’t be suited for a very large room, but for our 20′ x 20′ master suite, it was more than adequate. At this price point, this is an outstanding value!

Voices sounded like they were in a tunnel; subwoofer inconsistent connection
Tried the optical cable first, connecting to an older TV. The sound seemed very flat, even after tweaking EQ presets and levels. Then connected via HDMI (eARC) to a modern receiver. It sounded MUCH better. Two major problems that could not be resolved with troubleshooting/support/research:- Voices sounded like they were broadcast from inside a tunnel/tube. Played around with all settings and presets. Could not fix it.- The wireless subwoofer connected successfully, but would cut in and out. Tried positioning the subwoofer in various locations around the room. No change at all. It would work for approximately 3-5 seconds then not work for 3-5 seconds. It did that repeatedly. Seems like it was a wireless signal streaming/buffering issue maybe?Returned it, same day.

Quality sound
I have to say the sound quality is very nice. The setup was very easy and i liked that the sub woofer was already paired. The speakers themselves were quality speakers and they fit well with the look. Connecting my phone with the app was a breeze. I do feel the app was a bit lacking in visuals. The remote is setup perfectly so choosing between modes is simple. Very easy to fine tune the sound using the remote. It did update the system when i first connected. I guess you can get more profiles as well (i haven’t delved that deep into it yet). I use the basic movie and music settings which work well for me. The bass is incredible and very rich. There doesn’t seem to be any lag between the front and rear. Overall this is a quality system and a great value for the money.

Quality Sound
The soundbar isn’t the best soundbar I’ve ever heard, but it is a good quality option. If you’re only planning to use the soundbar without the additional speakers, you’ll be sorely disappointed as the soundbar by itself sounds extremely tinny and has virtually no bass sound. You’ll need to use at least two of the small satellite speakers to get a better-quality sound. That being said, you do have a good variety of options to fine-tune the way the soundbar sounds once you have it all set up, and some preset modes that sound alright.
