It WORKS!
I got this for my boyfriend so we could download more games on his Xbox X/S or whatever itâs called (I really donât know). He literally plugged it in, went to the settings and added it as an item I suppose and immediacy it took it and said he gained the storage! I will say itâs not 1 full TB, it was like 966 or something of that range but thatâs basically a terabyte no? Regardless it worked, he was able to download all his favorite games and the games we wanted to play together even though Iâm not the biggest fan of playing (just watching lol). So yes! It works, itâs awesome and he was super duper happy about it.Im unsure of the price of what this should be on other sites or brands but I felt that this was worth it! He gets to download literally everything he wants with more to spare, it was super easy, convenient, and since he downloaded all the games onto the SD card itself (you can choose) if Iâm right, he can take it out and bring it elsewhere and keep all his data. So points for compatibility and portability. The design is super sleek, literally canât see it, and the quality is outstanding!

Works great
I was able to transfer everything from my xbox to the memory card and can play right off of it. Still have 1.1tb left all my games are downloaded and my xbox has 90% free memory. Worth every dollar

A Pricey but Necessary Item
I like the sturdiness and feel of the SSD. However, the market is so isolated for expansion for the series X, youâre stuck paying ridiculous prices for memory. I have a first generation Series X so 1TB fills up quick. This helps but at a cost. Works as advertised. Looks good. Transfer speeds are good. But again, pricey.

A top name brand.
WD_Black 1TB C50Western Digital is top name brand. I expected it to work very well and it does.Installation: Plug this drive into the expansion socket on the back of a series S or Series X console. It will not work on an XboxOne or other older Xbox. Those use USB slots, which are about 20 times slower.I turned off my Xbox S and plugged it in. And turned on my Xbox S. There was a screen that appeared before the Xbox powered up asking me to choose one of two options. 1) use this new drive on multiple consoles. or 2) use this new drive on only the console it is now plugged into. I chose 2).Xbox S then booted up normally, and I selected the installation of MSFS (which takes up a little more than 200 GB). I then clicked on Manage instead of Play. The manage options included things like Copy or Move. I clicked Move. The MSFS game and all its saved data then moved from the internal storage over to this new drive. The speed was 5 GB per second. That is the same as 5 thousand megabytes per second. A lot faster than a USB drive at 200 megabytes per second. 25 times faster more or less. Now my MSFS game plays exactly as it did before at the same fps numbers and so forth. There is no difference how it used to play from the internal storage compared to playing from this drive.Xbox series S and series X external drives work like this: A usb drive will work to store things like songs and videos. And it also works for playing older games designed for an Xbox One or Xbox 360. Those old fashioned USB drives will NOT work for Xbox series X and series S games. But this is not a USB drive. Therefore it DOES work for all games and for anything else, exactly like the original internal storage. These WD drives seem to come in two sizes 500GB and 1000 GB (I TB). I bought a 1 TB drive. It works perfectly, without issues, and the only installation is to just plug it in! Of course you do NOT have to open up the Xbox case. The plug is on the outside, on the back, It is wide. You can’t miss it!

Officially licensed & it works. What more do you need?
I have needed to purchase an expansion card for some time now, but have always been put off by the cost. I’m still not thrilled when you can purchase a standard NVME hard drive for half the cost, but it is what it is when you’re dealing with a proprietary connector. At least Western Digital now offers a cheaper (at the time of purchase) alternative to Seagate that is still officially licensed. Install was plug & play and does what it say son the tin. I’ve noticed no difference in speeds between it and the internal drive, so that’s a win in my book.

La inserté, hice unas pruebas. Me salió el mensaje de que el almacenamiento era muy lento, la formateé, la extraje, la volvà a insertar y otra vez la formateé por si las dudas y jaló jaja. Buena compra 10/10.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. The moment he plugged it into his Xbox, it instantly recognized the chip; no installation was needed. It simply asked whether the chip would be used on multiple consoles. Transferring games from the card to the internal hard drive is quick and simple. The design is sleek and sturdy. I browsed a few options before purchasing, and this one had a great price for what he wantedâquick resume.
