    Works Well (But Packaging Damaged)
Listening from about 10 feet away, I think the sound quality is really really good. I had a small 2.0 ch sound bar before, and this one is longer and 3.1.2 ch, which makes a huge difference. Being longer creates more sound, but the extra channels make that sound clearer, especially bass and dialogue. Bass might even be too strong for your taste at first, but you can adjust it with the remote. It has a discreet look and style, except for the display. Like, when I’m watching the TV with the lights off, I don’t want a distracting light source anywhere near it. And, there’s no way to turn it off or decrease the brightness. At first the display did turn off after I stopped adjusting the volume, which to me should be the normal behavior, but then it came back on without me doing anything and never went way.The soundbar sounds so good that I don’t want to let this display issue ruin it for me, so I just found a dark knick-knack to place in front of the display at night, so it blocks the light and I don’t notice it at all.Setup was really easy. It uses eARC connectivity as one of the options, and it comes with the HDMI cable for that. All you do is plug it one end into the TV and the other to the soundbar.Build quality feels solid and sturdy, which I think contributes to the sound quality, because the unit won’t rattle around as much.—–Original Review: Manufacturer box was damaged, but the outer Amazon box did not seem to have the same damage. Not sure yet if the item is also damaged.

Basic and adequate sound bar with easy setup
I bought this sound bar for decent sound quality watching my new Roku tv, which it immediately recognized set up with a few clicks and no hassle — plug and play setup. I’m satisfied with the sound. It’s a huge improvement over the built-in speaker, and generally good for viewing movies and tv. It’s not a home theater surround sound system with a subwoofer. I bought the basic sound bar, which was a great value for the money and a perfect match for the amount of time I’m going to spend using it. No complaints.

    EXCELLENT ATMOS SOUNDBAR!
I bought this Westinghouse Dolby Atmos soundbar to use with my new Westinghouse 55″ Roku 4k TV (that I bought from Target during their black Friday sale).Super easy setup with a single HDMI eARC cable included with the soundbar. The subwoofer is Bluetooth. No cable. The TV remote operates soundbar volume. Sound quality is awesome and love the 4k TV too. Together on sale both units cost under $400! My only minor complaint is that the soundbar will turn off after 15 minutes of TV being paused. For example if you pause a program and go make lunch, if it takes longer than 15 minutes, the soundbar goes off. Simply turning it back on with the soundbar remote gets it on instantly. Apparently to make the EPA happy. Not a big deal but I have no other complaints as both the TV and this soundbar are excellent especially for the money. There are “touch” buttons on top of the soundbar and are easy to use however not needed very often as the remote handles all the functions, including a dedicated bass up/down button.I bought this TV to replace a perfectly running Westinghouse 40″ 1080p TV that is almost 20 years old! It is now in the bedroom. Totally pkeased!

    Finally !
This my third speaker I ordered. I was trying to save some money with the first two but nope the sound wasn’t even close to this one. It has subwoofer built in and it really works. The sound is awesome. For the price it’s very good deal. It doesn’t do any annoying sound when you turn it on or switch options on the remote. What a relief.

    Nice Sound
I was amazed at how easy it was to set up the sound bar. The extreme difference between the regular sound on the TV and now adding the sound bar I really like the quality of the volume.

Good entry level soundbar, some bad design features
At $199, this Westinghouse is a good entry level sound bar especially because it supports Dolby Atmos. It’s a relatively new technology (introduced 2012), and even many recent (more expensive) soundbars don’t have it. My Sonos Beam (Gen 1) from 2018 isn’t even that old and it doesn’t have Atmos. The main appeal is that Atmos allows for overhead sounds, creating even more audio immersion.I’m by no means an audiophile, but I like having the best entertainment equipment I can reasonably afford. While I wait for my Sonos Arc to arrive, this Westinghouse will be just fine. Once it gets here, I’ll update the review with how this compares against the $600 Sonos — obviously not a fair comparison, but it gives me a reference point.Setup is really easy and literally just plugging in 3 things: power cable of soundbar, power cable of sub, HDMI from soundbar to TV. If your TV has an HDMI ARC port, plug it into there. Some TVs will auto-detect ARC and it doesn’t matter.I’m watching Furiosa in 4K now on Prime Video and it sounds good to me! I have a PS5 hooked up to it and tried to play a 4K UHD movie (Bladerunner), but I could not get the TV to recognize Dolby of any kind. Until I figure that out, I’m using bitstream. I loaded up No Man’s Sky on my PS4 Pro and I noticed more layers and nuances immediately compared to my Sonos — details I never heard before in my 300 hours playing the game.As for gripes, I have a bunch:The manual is very rudimentary and light on explanations beyond the most basic setup. How about tips on optimal sub placement? (It’s not even mentioned.)Are the touch sensitive buttons on top supposed to work? Maybe I got a dud, but they don’t work on mine! Tapping or pushing hard around the entire area of the button does nothing. I have to control it from the remote.I hate the mounting options. I bought an under TV mount and this did not work with it. There are no screw holes on the bottom to secure it to the mount, so it risks being knocked off if one of the kids bumps into it. It comes with 2 small squared C brackets to attach to the wall as the only mount point. My Sonos had Alexa built in. I miss that — a lot. It’s very convenient having it integrated, because it can turn on the TV too (the TV has no physical buttons and we’re constantly losing the remote). For $199 though, beggars can’t be choosers. This system is good enough for most people who just want to enjoy their movies and games without getting into the technicals.Be sure to buy some more HDMI 2.1 cables. You’ll need that to take full advantage of 4K video and high def audio.

    Great sound
Great sound and we love that it also works with our Roku TV. Only need 1 remote now.
