Do I have to choose from a library of phrases or can I use my own phrases?
SpeakerHub “speaks” in two ways: The most common is you type the message out in advance, SpeakerHub reads it out using text-to-speech. You can also upload an MP3 file, and this file could include spoken words, in another language, for example.
Will it work without internet or WiFi?
The SpeakHub does require an internet connection. It uses a 2.4 GHz WiFi connection, only (not ethernet/wired). It will not work without an internet connection.
I have a hub now. If I get this, do I need to do anything, or replace my current hub? Is it OK to mix & match hubs?
You do not need to do anything with your existing devices, and you can mix and match as many hubs as you want!
I heard a review the SpeakerHub is not loud enough?
Well, “loud enough” is subjective, but it’s important to know, this is not meant to be a security siren or a loudspeaker. It’s closer in volume to an Echo Dot. It works great if you are in the same room. You may not hear it from another floor.
Can I power this from 220V?
The SpeakerHub is actually USB-powered, so, as long as you have the appropriate plug-in USB adapter, you can power it from 220 or 480V!

Smart Design – SpeakerHub is powerful yet compact and portable. Handsome and measuring less than 3 inches across, it will look great anywhere in your home. Simply connect it to WiFi (only), and USB power (with the included AC adapter)
Private & Secure – SpeakerHub is smart, but it does not have a microphone and can not listen. Be secure in your privacy and safely place this smart speaker anywhere in your home or business
Requirements – Android or Apple smartphone, stable WiFi connection (SpeakerHub does not have an Ethernet port), and USB power or an AC outlet nearby for the plug-in power adapter
Customers say
Customers find the speakers easy to set up and use. They appreciate the voice notification feature, which provides clear alerts of sensor events. Many find them a good value for money, durable, and with a good volume level. However, some customers have differing opinions on the sound quality and wireless range.

Works great with first gen Google Wifi mesh network!
I bought this so I can be notified where water leaks are happening immediately even if I don’t have my phone in my pocket. Technically I can also use Alexa or Google Nest to do the same thing, but I don’t want those in my bedroom for privacy reasons. But I also find this is superior for emergency notifications. You can easily set it up to blast a loud emergency tone followed by a custom message and have it repeat multiple times all from a single screen, e.g. “BEEP!! Water Leak detected at Kitchen Sink BEEP!! Water Leak detected at Kitchen Sink”.I was worried I would have issues with this hub because when you’re setting it up via the mobile app your phone needs to be connected to your wifi via 2.4 GHz. My phone is always connected to my wifi at 5 GHz. Other routers allow you to temporarily disable 5 GHz to setup IoT devices but Google Wifi lacks such a feature. There’s a simple trick to get your phone to connect to your Google Wifi on 2.4 GHz. The 2.4 GHz band is longer range than 5 GHz. I simply walked outside my home until I lost connection to my wifi and then walked back a few steps until it connected. On Android if you open the Wifi “Network Details” you can confirm it’s 2.4 GHz. Then I just completed the setup per the Quick Start guide. It helped that I had my wife standing by the door to hold the set button down while I was outside on the phone! Then I simply moved the Speaker Hub to the desired location in the home and it automatically connects back to the wifi no problem.

Excellent Smart Home hub
The Yolink SpeakerHub is SUPER cool for several reasons. 1. The size is very small and compact 2. The performance is excellent as it allows ultra long distant communication with its connected. 3 The integrated speaker is soooo cool because it can be programed to announce which sensor is triggered using customizable voice commands for each sensor or device its programed to announce. 4. This Yosmart SpeakerHub is very reasonably priced so you get a really good value for your purchase of this product.

Love the personalized voice notification feature
Already had the regular hub. But wanted the personalized voice notification and warning feature of this hub. Added this as a second hub to my system, and it does not interfere with or break the connections of devices paired with the first hub. Use it mostly for the voice notification feature. Automations to deliver voice notifications are easy to set up if you follow available online instruction videos. Like how you can type in your own personalized notifications, and it speaks them clearly without any problem. Adjustable volume level, with the loudness being more than adequate to be heard at a distance. Connects by Wi-Fi only, but also found this easy to configure. Very happy with this purchase.

A Great Product from a Great Company
Constantly exceeding my expectations. I own a lot of Yolink hardware and am deep into Home Automation with Home Assistant. All work seamlessly. After using a lot of the devices for a long time, I had one failure. The App on my phone let me know there was an issue. Therefore, the system (includes all of the components) are monitored for health. A rare and complete level of Systems Engineering. On the one failure, I emailed Yolink with the results of the very simple and straight forward troubleshooting. Boom. They were sending me a replacement in minutes. Absolutely outstanding. I have not seen a company at this level in a while. It brings tears of joy to my eyes to find a company like this one. I can only hope that other companies take notes and follow this outstanding example.

Great little box for voice messages about YoLink events customized the way you want.
I’m totally blind. The first thing I noticed about this is the box is square in shape and about 1 inch tall when sitting on a table. The power cord is a micro USB cord and plugs into the box with the points down. The box is meant to be set on a shelf or table. There are 3 buttons on the front of it near the front edge. The QR code is on the underside of it. There are little wholes all around the lower edge of the unit when sitting on a table. After plugging in the box and then trying to determine what the 3 buttons did! I found the left most is Volume down, the middle one I’m guessing is for configuring it being it didn’t seem to do anything when pressed a few times. The right most if volume up.When into the App and scanned the QR code and then pressed the center button to get the hub online. The hub on its own doesn’t give any voice messages or nothing like that. Tried that to see what it would do on its own out of the box. But again that could have been the way I have the sensors configured as far as alerts.Next went and played with the Automation smart stuff in the App to see what I could do.Yes you can create automation for the hub and have it play a sound along with speaking a written message that you type into the App on your phone. You can have the tone and message also repeat a few times if you like. You can also set the volume in the App, but that doesn’t work for a totally blind person Being the controls doesn’t work for a person using a screen reader. The nice thing is there is a test button that you can tap when setting up the sound/voice stuff so you can hear how it sounds. Default volume is whatever you currently have the hub set at if you have the volume box unchecked in the automation. So using the buttons on the hub itself and the test button in the App, set the volume to your liking and leave it.I found the speaker when doing this is on the underside of the unit and is facing down. The sound will hit whatever the hub is sitting on and then the little wholes around the lower edge causes the sound to come out all around the unit. So this unit should be set on a hard place like a table top or wooden shelf. Do not set it on something soft! If you do that, the sound will be soft and muffled. At highest volume, this may be OK for a single room. For me, this will not wake me up from sleeping being it takes something with more room filling sound to do that.If you want or need something with more room filling sound, you cannot connect an external speaker to this to help out with sound or volume.

This unit integrates perfectly with my YoLink water sensors Even though I already get text and email alerts when a sensor is activated, having an audible alarm along with voice addition giving the location of the sensor takes piece of mind to a new level. Great quality all round and excellent tutorial videos online. I would highly recommend this line of product
