Fits securely on a one inch pole for “smart” bird feeder solar panel
The instructions state this is made for a minimum of 2.75″ pole, and I don’t think other reviewers realized that it is not designed to go around the pole (see pic of the instructions). However, using my own 3/4″-1 3/4″ stainless steel adjustable clamps, it clamps quite easily and securely to a 1″ pole to hold the solar panel for a bird feeder camera.

Got this to put my ring camera on an outdoor post so it can over look the backyard. It’s easy to set up and have no problem with it.

Strap buckle broke when I tried to install.
For years, I have been trying to figure out where and how to mount an outdoor camera that will cover my backyard. My house is concrete, so drilling into an exterior wall is not a great idea, and there are no poles or beams I can use. And while there are two-in-one camera spotlights I can install into the box for my existing spotlight, they are not dusk-to-dawn, and there is no changing the color (I use bug lights because without them, the deck is unusable during the summer). So when I saw this mount, I thought I’d finally found a solution: the downspouts that flank each end of the house.Unfortunately, the dimensions and shape of the downspouts ruled out using the metal rings that were included, so I decided to try the straps on the more accessible downspout. I purposely positioned the buckles on the opposite (long) side of the downspout from where the camera was so it would rest against a flat surface. As I tried to tighten the second strap, the clasp broke off from the rest of the buckle. There’s no putting it back together again. I get why plastic buckles may make more sense than metal in outdoor settings, but I am not thrilled about having to buy more/different parts to make this work.I’m also not crazy about how the ends of the mounting plate fold in at an angle. It makes the mount less versatile and means more play to account for when installing larger/heavier cameras (especially on trees or other tricky surfaces.On the plus side, it was very easy to attach the OG Blink Outdoor camera mount to the mounting plate, and even if I can’t find sturdier straps or larger rings to fit into the slots, I have a Plan B for its use — securing a solar panel for a different camera to an equally tricky surface (wrought-iron railing) with cable ties. So all is not lost.

Great for Those Odd Applications
The Zivif Outdoor Camera Mount is a great mount for those odd camera applications where the standard mount will just not do. This mount gives you the ability to mount a Blink camera, trail camera, or any camera that accepts a 1/4 inch mounting screw. As long as you have long enough straps this mount could be used on a pretty large tree or pole. Could even me mounted on a rain gutter down spout. This mount could also be used to mount a solar panel.The Zivif Outdoor Camera Mount is made of quality components and should be durable enough to mount nearly anywhere. The kit comes with the metal mounting plate, pole bands, straps for mounting to trees, and various mounting screws. The mount that has the 1/4 screw is made of plastic, can adjust to 90 degrees, and should be able to handle the weight of any camera or solar panel.At the time of this review the Zivif Outdoor Camera Mount was selling for $14.99 which is a great price for a camera/solar mounting kit that will give the ability to mount to a lot of various locations.
