Great little storage!
I love the convenience of being able to take this wherever you need, but I personally just use it for additional storage on my PC. I formatted it to NTFS first, as it comes in exFAT by default. With the magnet and its low profile, I can stick it on my case and it’s completely out of the way! The speeds are incredible as well. I’ve seen transfers as fast a 1 Gbps and it handles it like nothing! This little guy is awesome!

Fast little SSD Drive.
This review is for the Fikwot 250GB External SSD.The advertised speed for this SSD drive is 1050MB/s using a USB 3.2 Gen2 port or better. It should be noted that while using the included USB A to USB C cord, I was only able to get half of the rated speed. However, when using a USB C to USB C cord that I got with another SSD hard drive, I was able to get close to the full rated speed out of this drive. If you don’t get the speed you are expecting, try a better cable than what comes with it. You can also try other USB ports because most motherboards only have a couple of fast USB ports and the others are not full speed USB 3.2 Gen2 ports. It should be noted that Crystal Disk Info reports that the drive already had 60 power cycles on it before I got it, but this may be due to testing done at the factory, so it may not be anything to be concerned about. It also reported that it had less than an hour of power on time. The SSD is about half the size of a normal external SSD so it is very portable. I would say that this drive occupies a size category in between a thumb drive and a full size SSD drive. It is very important to note that this drive is designed with a fairly strong magnet in it so you need to be very careful what you allow come into contact with it so you don’t damage any of your other devices or magnetic strip cards. Don’t put this anywhere near your wallet if you have any credit cards because it will erase them. This drive comes with a 5 year warranty, but I don’t know who made the actual chips in it, so I’m not sure if it will likely live up to this claim or not, but at least with the 5 year warranty, it is encouraging. So far, I see no reason not to recommend this drive to others. If anything changes, I’ll try to remember to update my review in the future.

Mighty Magnetic Mini Drive
So far my impression of this drive is excellent! The Fikwot FP70 SSD drive came in a nice looking glossy printed box with protective padding and has a 5 Year Warranty. There are three different cables included. Two angled cables of different lengths, and one straight cable that’s nearly 15 inches long with a cable wrap. The angle cable fit on my Samsung Note 20 even with the case on and it connected to the phone as a USB drive without any issues. I could then use the My Files app to transfer files onto it from the phone. Easy. There are two stick on magnetic rings you can attach to devices (or device covers) if you want to use the magnetic feature on devices that are not magnetic. My phone already has metal in the case to use with magnetic phone holders, and the drive stuck to the case and held well enough that I could walk around without worrying it might fall off. I also tested it on the fridge and my computer case and in both cases it held strong. The drive itself has an extremely nice metal case with a non-skid rubber base. It looks and feels very high-end. Very solid. It’s fairly small at 2.25 inches square, weighing 2.3 ounces.I did a test of the drive using the “Blackmagic Disk Speed Test” program and it rated the drive as fast enough for video up through 12K 30fps, so it’s definitely speedy. The Fikwot FP70 is an excellent SSD drive with some great features. It will come in very handy!

Functions Great, Ergonomics a Little Awkward
This worked great on my iPhone 15 Pro Max – was able to copy files to and from it quickly enough. The only issue is the cable. When you want to charge your iPhone either wired or wirelessly, you’ve got to detach the cable, even if you are planning to charge wirelessly. Other than that, it works great for an extra bit of storage.

Cool protable SSD with enough memory
I typically go with the lowest storage memory on my phones since I have yet to fill all 256 gb of it and this little item will ensure I never have to worry about running out of memory. It’s super portable and compact and if you have a magsafe case it can easily attach itself to the back. Very sleek and lightweight you can leave it on your phone and would hardly notice it’s there. It’s very easy to use as it’s pretty much plug and play and your phone should detect it so you can start moving things to it immediately. Worth the money if you need an SSD.

Super fast 256gb memory.
This is a great little 256gb drive to have. I used it on my note 20 ultra to move around some movies and other files. Transfer speeds work faster than other ways I used to move files from my phone to my computer. When I moved my files from the drive to my computer it was transferring the files at 600mbs+ NOICE! I love the for factor too. It’s a small aquarium drive that you can fit in your fifth pocket. Oh it’s also magnetic. It comes with two of those magsafe circle connector rings too. So if you don’t have an IPhone they have you covered. Also an added bonus is after you add one of those rings you can use magsafe devices.

Impressively Fast
This is a great little drive. It comes with the drive and 3 cables.Unfortunately, after looking into it, I won’t be able to record video directly too it, without switching away from my preferred format. That’s an Apple problem, nothing to do with the drive, but something people should be aware of. You have to be shooting in ProRes Raw to be able to save directly to an external SSD.As for the drive itself, it’s fast. I transferred a 2GB file, in a few seconds. So it will come in handy when needing to offload pictures, videos or other files from your phone. The magnet is pretty strong keeping the drive firmly attached to the phone or case. The problem I had, which again, is partly my fault, is my case, I have a OtterBox that has a cover for the USB port, which kind of gets in the way. I was able to connect the cable to the phone after extremely bending the cover, which I don’t like doing.

I liked the size of it and how well done it is. It’s made of not cheap materials, and it came packed very nicely and has 3 legit wires with it to get you on the go immediately. The things I didn’t really like are that the rings that were sent with it are not covered with good adhesive, and they didn’t last long on my Galaxy S22 ULTRA, plus the fact that it’s not chargeable or takes its own source of power is a downer as well because it feeds on the device’s batteries, and they barely have enough time to finish a backup in that case. More practical for PC or MAC, I believe the size and performance are really something I would recommend for such a price!

I got this as I am constantly in need of storage space. I work as a photographer and offloading photos can be a hassle when you want to show them on an iPad for easier viewing. This device has already made it so much easier! The device itself is a small little puck with a built in cable. The puck has a magsafe magnet on it which is super strong. It holds onto he back of my phone with no issues of it coming off, I can whip my phone about and it will not budge. The cable is then just long enough to plug into my phone. This cable is angled so it puts no strain on the connector at all. The outer casing is plastic and however it is thick, light weight plastic, so it gives excellent protection while not adding much heft. The cable once connected allows it to communicate with the phone. The phone recognised it as additional storage and allowed me to swap straight to it. This worked perfectly when using the iPad as I was able to swap to image storage and view the photos directly off of it.The speed is something that was key for me. I am shooting directly to this at times and being able to save and store the images right away is a bit of a bottleneck. However I have had no slow downs and I have been able to save and store the images as they have been coming off the camera. As this is such a small device, it’s super easy to throw it into a bag or a pocket. The device also has a small footprint on the back of the phone so it can be plugged in at all times and being barely noticed.Overall, for £39.99, this is quite a good value. You are getting a 250gb SSD which is fast alongside a caddy for the SSD which is very nicely made. The whole thing could be worth much more than the £39.99 price tag, so I am impressed. 5/5
