Great Permanent Lighting
While the sales pages portrays these lights as something that you might only want to use as temporary lighting, these are in fact permanent lights that you can keep up all year round. In the video I show the modes that you can use from the remote, while the Smart Life app has so many different options. Each LED is individually programmable from the app, if you so chose. You can also use the built in patterns, which includes patterns for specific holidays. If you want an electronics project, you can use an Arduino to control them as well.The app is able to control up to a maximum of 300 LEDS, while this set has 200 LEDS (4 strings of 50), but I don’t know if that is a limit. If you wrapped them around into multiple lines or columns, you could simulate a display. Soooo many options. I’ve seen other bulb types as well, and AFAIK they are basically all the same, just different looks for the bulbs. I am waiting for some more sets to arrive, so I’m going to try to mix and match, if I can.If this is something that interests you, I can definitely recommend them. I’m going to start with under the eve lighting, and go from there. They don’t use much power, and do provide a good amount of light, so they can also duo as low level security lighting. As I said above, soooo many options. BEST

Love these little light dots
I wanted to wrap a tree we had in some RGB lights for a fun effect and I was able to find these dot style string lights. This strand is incredibly long and gave me plenty of room to work with. Note that the lights are flat on one side and round on the part where the light actually comes from. The lights are well diffused with a frosted cover which also makes these more pleasant to look at and not harsh on the eyes at all. The app works seamlessly with our Alexa and I really appreciate having the RF remote so I can control them from inside without the actual app. There are countless light effects and our little kids love picking new ones for our tree. I will probably move these to the backyard so we can have it up year round. There is no adhesive that comes with this if you wanted to mount them to a flat surface. My suggestion would be a dab of hot glue on things like exterior surfaces that could come off relatively easily.

Look really nice!
These look really nice strung across the whole front of the house on the edge of the roof. We have it set as rainbow, so it blends from one color to another. There are many different modes you can choose from, solid color, multi. There is an app called “Smart Life- Smart Living” (there is a QR code on the instructions that come with it). I have not hooked up to the app, there is a set up process. The app also connects to Alexa so you can turn lights on/of and change settings with voice activation. These are not just for christmas. Can set them to white to light up a patio, or for football season, select your teams color!

Easy to install, good brightness, decorative patterns
Overall: Easy to install accent lighting. Needs WiFi for setup, so be sure it’s in range.What I liked:- Easy to install.- Compact design yet lights are easy to see.- Good brightness.- Setup of different patterns is straightforward using the app.- Versatile light patterns allows the lights to match different holiday themes.Room for improvement:- Needs WiFi connection for setup. Thus, be sure the lights are within range of the WiFi signal. I needed to bring one of my WiFi extenders outside so that there was adequate signal near my back fence where the light string was installed.- There is a “gap” in the bulb pattern where the light strings connect. I wish there was an additional bulb so that the bulb spacing was maintained at connection points. Look at the attached video near the center of the screen. The light “skip” is easily seen.

I ordered these to put up for the holidays on the exterior of my house and they framed my walkway beautifully!They are super easy to install and plug into to a regular outlet.Super bright and very durable string that really has a lot of coverage with all the sections this particular item includedWith so many different color schemes and modes and the assortment it can be set to plus a remote I canât say enough how great these are.Very versatile and really well made these are a must have!
