Nice Basic Shredder for Home
When my last shredder died, I needed a new home shredder. This unit was reasonably priced and arrived within a day of ordering. It was easy to set up and went right to work. I appreciate that the unit is tested before shipping and that there was a note that you might find bits of paper from the test – I did. It will shred up to six sheets at a time which is adequate for a home unit and it shreds credit cards with ease. One thing I would suggest for future improvement – the solid black waste bin along with fit of the shredder on top makes it hard to see when you need to empty the bin.

Good value for money
Shredder works well, just not great. I could shred about 6 pages at once. It is a bit noisy and the capacity bin is small and had to be emptied twice and paper removed from teeth. For personal papers, money spent was reasonable. Not recommended if lots of forms need disposal (e.g. 40 years of taxes) unless you have a lot of time. Overall happy with purchase.

Amazon Basics 8 Sheet Cross Cut Shredder
I read many reviews before making my purchase, this one had the best reviews. This shredder does the job and does it well! Very easy to use, has a handle on the shredder top to be able to carry and move around easily, holds quite a bit of shredded material in the catch basin, and I was pleasantly surprised how powerful this little shredder is. This is my first shredder and honestly, I have no idea why I waited so long to get one.

Office shredders are essential in my business as a law firm. I was worried that purchasing this shredder at such a low cost compared to others , that I would not be getting a very high quality product. I was wrong ! This shredder is absolutely high end quality and the the price! Wow I was shocked ! It Allows you to shred a large amount of papers at a time and makes cleaning up the scraps easy with its large bottom sized bin space . Super happy that I purchased this exact one ! Works well and saves me time on shredding important documents! 5 thumbs up for my shredder !

Usually shredders do not live up-to their specifications- let alone exceeding them.
But this one is an exception.
It doesnât just live up to the specification, it goes beyond that. I shredded 24 papers and this shredder did that comfortably (they were not cheap thin papers. They were good quality papers.)
Now, I wanted to see the point at which the machine gives up. I tried 30 pages. Machine chewed may be 10-15% and jammed. In stead of sitting there with jammed feed, machine did auto reverse and helped me pull the bunch. I then tried with 28 pages but about 15% into shredding it jammed. I tried 26 pages. Machine was able to shred 26 pages.
I have shredded thick cardboards and had no issues with jamming. Machine just chews and chews happily. I absolutely love this shredder!!
Kudos to Amazon for making such a high quality product available.
Now- coming to non shredding aspects

acceptable. It is actually lower than my insignia 6 sheet shredder.
*Build quality*
good . The slider button on top feels lil bit inaccurate and flimsy but it is not a deal breaker for me. Bin doesnât go in effortlessly. 8 out of 10 times, I have to wiggle the bin a bit for it to go in. Castors are smooth.
*Shred quality*
Consistent. Shred size is about 3-3.5 cm x 4 mm (1.25 inches x 0.16 inches) which meets or exceeds its specification.
Overall- an awesome shredder any household should have especially with cardboard usage.
