Great product
It arrived on time and the packing was outstanding. It very easy to assemble about 10 minutes. The operation of the machine is outstanding. I put it through an hour workout and it not once over heated and stop. The bin where the paper goes in is very large. The bin slids in and out very smooth. There’s a safety lock and unlock that comes in handy. Highly recommend if you looking for a great machine.

My heavy duty Fellows paper shredder died, after shredding paperwork from 2 families (100 yrs of paperwork.) I decided to replace it with one just for my personal use. This one works great. I rarely shred anything more than 4 pages thick, & only shred for the recommended time. I’ve learned the less is more philosophy to shredding & avoid anything that can gum up the shredding blades. If you treat it well, Fellows shredders will last for years.

Enormous improvement over previous models
The problem with just about all small personal home shredders is that you have to fit a very heavy motorized shredding top exactly over a flimsy bottom “box” that collects the paper shreds. If the tabs don’t perfectly fit for this match, the machine will not work. Well, this machine does the same, and I had a problem with this before I was able to fit the top on properly. The difference is that for the older models, you have to do this EVERY TIME you remove the bottom box that holds the paper shreds in order to dispose of the shreds. With this model, you need to do it JUST ONCE: when you setting up for the first time. The top remains on top because the paper shreds are collected in a pull-out sliding drawer for emptying. And because there is a double wall in the bottom (the outer box plus the inner sliding drawer), the whole bottom is much more stable for the top to fit on it. The larger and more expensive office model have always had this feature but insofar as I can tell, this is the first inexpensive small home model that works with the sliding inner collection drawer. It shreds well and is easily worth its modest price.

Works very well, is super sturdy, and it is very quiet
Mostly I love how quiet this shredder is – especially compared to my old shredder. Additionally, this sits under my office window and so my cat sometimes uses it as a step-stool to get on/off the window sill. He would often tip my other shredder over because it was top heavy, but this one has not tipped yet, no matter how hard my cat launches himself. Shredder also works very well, properly shredding paper as specified, without jamming or leaving the edges un-shredded.

Good as Last?
My last fellows lasted 13,14? Years. Geared very well and a tough motor. Even though no one in the family will admit. Something to thick went thru and the cutters were pushed apart and the guides were misaligned. Still after all the damage, the machine still worked. Very impressed with Fellows.

Powerful Crosscut Paper Shredder
I’ve used this Fellowes Powershred 12C15 12-sheet crosscut paper shredder for several months, and it has worked very well for home use in shredding confidential papers and expired credit or debit cards. Very easy set up too. I have not inserted up to 12 sheets of paper per pass, but only insert up to 4 sheets at a time. It has casters for easy maneuvering, safety lock on/off switch, reverse shred switch, front window to view when the bin is full, and an easy pull-out bin for dumping paper contents. The shredder has not overheated, but does have an overheat LED indicator as well as an LED SafeSense indicator and safety lock feature. I oiled it with canola oil as recommended by the manufacturer each time I emptied a full bin. That said, I did encounter some difficulty once after oiling the shredder, and I must have oiled it too much because the next time I used it, shredded paper got stuck in the grinding teeth. However, after removing the oily, shredded paper, it worked perfectly fine again. When used as manufacturer recommends, this shredder is definitely worth buying.

This shedder worked very well, much better than my old one which gave up the Ghost after many
