Works perfect for simple docking solution
I’ve always liked Anker products and had good experiences with them (including Soundcore and Eufy products), so when I saw this as this price point, I was all on board.Our previous setup with our Macbook Air had the following connections at our desk:• MagSafe connected for power• a USB-C/thunderbolt to DisplayPort cable for video• a USB-C to USB-A converter to a simple USB 2.0 hub for the webcam, keyboard, and power for the speaker.Every time we removed or docked the Macbook, we’d have these 3 connections (and a mess of cables nearby).We now have this single hub connecting to the Macbook and the following connected to the hub, hidden away:• USB-A 2.0 Port – keyboard• USB-A 2.0 Port – power for speaker that’s connected to the monitor• USB-A 3.0 Port – Anker C200 webcam• HDMI – cable for the QHD monitor, also used for sound• PD-IN – a USB-C charging cable connected to the original Macbook Air chargerWe’ve had this setup for a couple of weeks now and things are working great. I’ve got no complaints. If you need a simple desktop docking setup and only want to use a single USB-C connection for your Mac, this is the way to go.

Strikingly Compact Expansion Hub … Its Legit!
As this is an Anker Product, there is already a precedent for expectations within this consumer space for their products, whether its handheld accessories, personal audio and speakers, or even charging stations, they have quite the established lineup and I’ve factored that into this review as I’ve owned several devices from their lineup beforehand.The ideal here that I believe Anker was shooting for in this competitive space of ‘Expansion Hubs’ is delivering a compact form factor combined with amble port coverage for a consumer that is on the go and that needs a hub for multiple connections while also maintaining a strict budget for capturing most consumers in this demographic. I think overall, this package hits all of those checkpoints and delivers a quality USB Type-C Hub that most, if not all will find pleasing for their individual usage cases.On an added note, build quality wise, this is top notch, especially for the price point, and I’ve noticed zero compromises here in that respect which has been a pleasant surprise!The only downside that I could potentially see that could restrict the needs of consumers abroad like myself is the lack of support for 60 HZ 4K output as it is limited to 30 HZ over a 4K display, with that being said, this could be reserved for a revised version in the future. Something to take note of though for sure.With that being said, I’ve used this ‘Expansion Hub’ to connect to an external monitor, along with a bluetooth mouse, and an external storage device (all at the same time) … No issues to report in connectivity so far, and again the small size of the hub cannot be understated, and for someone on the go for travel with my line of work this has been a rock solid option for having in my laptop sleeve!

Great basic hub! Powerthrough works! Just wish it had 1 extra USB-C.
This is a great hub!What would make it even better would be 1x HDMI, 2x USB-A, 1x USB C (with lower wattage), and the current power USB-C connector. Of course I can plug in an HDMI-A to -C adapter, and it’ll work just fine…It’s a nice use case: The 3x USB-A style means I can use wired keyboard, wired mouse, and a thumb drive all at once if need be. But I generally use a wireless mouse these days.Anyway, for the nice, compact size, this is a great hub.

Good hub, sub par execution
This is a respectable usb-c hub, though I was expecting a little more form Anker. When plugging into my laptop which uses maybe up to 70w while powered on (as measured by a usb-c cable with display) this unit makes some soft static noise while the power is passing through. This is the same noise I hear from cheaper “no-name” usb hubs I’ve used.The port selection itself is good, the rubber/vinyl pigtail is solid, the aluminum build is solid, and I appreciate them ditching the sd card reader to add an extra usb-a port. The 5gbps USB-A port is nice as well!The USB-C connector doesn’t “click-in” solidly, and I find myself having to unplug and replug the hub connector to confirm it’s connected properly.Overall, a little disappointed in the quality of this from Anker. Great specs but sub-par execution.

Das ist unglaublich praktisch, weil ich nun nicht mehr ständig mein Ladegerät in die Steckdose stecken muss. Ich kann den Hub einfach mit meinem Laptop verbinden und gleichzeitig meine Geräte aufladen, ohne dass ich ein weiteres Kabel brauche. Es spart nicht nur Platz, sondern auch viel Zeit und Aufwand, vor allem, wenn ich unterwegs bin.Besonders gefallen hat mir die kompakte Bauweise. Der Hub ist wirklich handlich und lässt sich problemlos in meiner Laptop-Tasche verstauen, ohne viel Platz zu beanspruchen. Das macht ihn ideal für Reisen oder für den täglichen Gebrauch im Büro. Trotz der kompakten Größe ist die Leistung des Geräts absolut überzeugend. Alle Ports funktionieren einwandfrei, und ich habe keine Verbindungsprobleme oder Unterbrechungen festgestellt.Die Installation war ebenfalls kinderleicht. Einfach den USB-C Stecker in mein MacBook einstecken, und schon konnte ich alle Funktionen sofort nutzen – keine Treiber oder Software waren erforderlich. I ordered the Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1) to expand the connectivity options for my laptop, and it has not disappointed. This hub offers a great range of ports, including a Power Delivery input, two USB-A 2.0 ports, a USB-A 3.0 port, and a 4K HDMI output. The design is compact and stylish, making it easy to carry around without taking up much space, which is perfect for my on-the-go setup.The 90W pass-through charging is a fantastic feature. It provides efficient power to my laptop while reserving a bit of power for the hub itself, so I don’t have to worry about running out of power during use. Just note that the wall charger isn’t included, but that’s not a problem as I already had a suitable one.Data transfer speeds are excellent.
