Allowed me to mount a dashcam on the frits
The only sensible place to put my dashcam suction cup was on the frits area of the windshield. Frits are the little black dots made of ceramic that partially block sunlight and surround radar units and rearview mirror mounts. A suction cup will not hold to the frits area because it is not flat. These serve as an intermediary, they adhere to the frits area and provide a surface to which a suction cup can adhere. I read some of the 3 star and less reviews and have no explanation for why these did not adhere to dashboards. The 3M company makes most industrial adhesives used in vehicles and you can’t find better. In fact, as one or more people have pointed out, you may do damage trying to remove one of these once it has stuck to a surface. I tried to pull my dashcam off and neither the suction cup nor this pad would budge. It’s a permanent install.

The price is right; however, they did not adhere as effectively as the original that came with my cellphone holder.My original dashboard mounting pad from iottie lasted for about two+ years before it would no longer adhere to the dashboard (most likely due to the intense heat from the sun).However, an iottie replacement mounting pad was about $10 each (about 1/2 the price of a new cellphone holder). Whereas this 3-pack cost only $7.My cellphone holder adheres perfectly to the dashboard mounting pads in this 3-pack, but the adhesion on the bottom of the pads do not adhere as well to my dash (by comparison to the original iottie).I did find that they work pretty good on completely flat & horizontal surfaces, whereas I initially mounted it to a flat, but not completely horizontal surface (where I originally had my cellphone holder located).On a positive note, I was able to mount the 2nd pad on the passenger side for road tripping partners.Despite the initial hiccup with a lack of adhesion, I would recommend this product.

A little bigger than my original dash sticker base
I purchased this one to help with my windshield phone holder. My original one, after exposing to high heat and direct sun, is melted and really sticky to the windshield. Luckily, I didnât put it on my dashboard, otherwise it would have been ruined. This one is great value with 3 packs in one order. It sticks well to the windshield and easy to install. I add my original to this one to let it act as a base. It works really well. One complain is it is a little bigger size than my original one. Thatâs why I take one star from the rating.

I used this cup to hold my phone charger, I have a Fold 6 and it’s quite heavy, holds the arm in place (it’s a suction type) right now we are in the teens temperature wise.

I ordered this thinking what a deal! 3 pads for the price of one basically. I needed to replace the pad for my iottie car phone mount. I typically have to replace these about every year and a half. Since this came with 3 I thought perfect! however when I got them I noticed the “wet wipe” that came with it was not wet. It was dry. So maybe I got some very old product. I went ahead and cleaned my dash with my own supplies. Than I stuck the pad to the dash. It mentions it’s good to go in a few hours but it is preferable to wait 24 hours. So I waited 24 hours stuck on my mount, added my phone and… it fell off. The mount unstuck from the dash within seconds of starting to use for the first time. Ok. Mistakes happen. Luckily this came with 3 of them. So I did it all again with a new pad. Left it for 72 hours. It stuck… for about an hour then fell off with my mount and phone. I have one more left and I highly doubt it will work. Taking off the protective plastic from the adhesive is also a pain.Waste of money!

Can not stick to smooth surface
I followed the instruction and even left it for 24 hours to have better adhesion. It came out right away. I uses the suction cup directly on the surface and no issue for 2 days now. So, this shows the adhesion is not working on the same surface. I plan to check with Amzon to see how do I get my money back. By the way, the suction cup of ESR Dashboard Magnetic Wireless Car Charger Mount is very good. My mounts were not stick to windows or dashes well so bought a set of these. They stick really well and both devices have no problems with suction on to the surface. Caveat, have not tried in an Australian summer yet.
