Works Good, but be careful in a Ford Ranger
I bought this last year for my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT and it has held up well.At first I installed it in the left center console vent (The one with the thermostat in the pic) It worked for awhile but it bounced a lot, blocked the radio, and recently pulled the vent right out of the dash, phone and all dropping to the floor. Luckily the vent just clipped back in and there was no damage to the phone thanks to the case.Today I decided to try the driver side vent near the door and It seems to work much better in this position. The vent louvers on the side vent are wider apart than the center console vents so installation was much easier and more secure. Installation to the center console was difficult since the hook is wider than the space between the louvers and I was concerned about potentially breaking one of more of them, although that didn’t happen.I took a test drive and it stayed in place which is respectable since our local Pennsylvania roads in town are some of the worst in the nation. But it makes a great place to test suspension parts, phone mounts. or anything that might vibrate loose or fall off.As far as handling the phone-My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A 54 5G with a SUPCASE for Samsung Galaxy A54 5G Case with Stand (Unicorn Beetle Pro) case which is basically a rubberized brick. It’s big, it’s heavy ( the phone and case weight just under 10oz together) but it’s great protection for anyone that works under vehicles in dirt, rocks and gravel. It’s saved my phone from damage several times now. Unfortunately that extra weight is probably what caused the vent to be pulled out of the console so I’m not faulting the phone mount too much. I just wanted to give a little backstory for other Ford Ranger owners looking for a phone mount for their trucks. Skip the center console, install this mount in the driver side vent, and you should be good to go.To Summarize:The Good-Grabs even thick phones and cases, holds really well.Allows for hands free phone calls or GPS use.Adjustable so it can be used in several different positions.The Bad-Might not mount well in certain vehicles, it just depends on your vents.Ford Ranger owners( older models, I’m not familiar with the newer imposters) will have better use with the driver side vent near the door.That’s it so far. If something changes I’ll update this review.

A Quality Product. Worked well on 2015 Subaru Forester
This unit attaches firmly and securely to the center console vent of my older Subaru Forester. It also holds the phone securely and it is easy to get the phone in and out of the cradle. The element that slides between the louvers is in the form of a little hook that hooks on the back side of the louver so, once installed, the mount will not fall out unless the louver breaks. You can also easily position the phone to any angle. There is a notch on the bottom of the cradle so you can connect a power cord and still keep the phone in the cradle. The cradle is deep enough to accomodate thin items like a pouch for two or three credit cards stuck to the back of the phone. Thicker things on the phone – like a pop socket – will make it hard to lock the phone into the cradle. I also got an email from the seller offering to resolve any install issues I had. I had no issues but, it was nice to know the seller cared about customer satisfaction and was not just someone pushing shoddy junk made offshore on to an unsuspecting Amazon curstomer base.All that said, I believe ANY vent mounted phone holder will have the following issues:1)Attaching something to the vent louvers will limit the range of motion of the louvers. For my Subaru there is a separate dial that shuts off the air flow from the louvers no matter what position the louvers are in. In other cars the air shut-off feature is connected to the louver motion so, you might be stuck with the vent staying open or staying shut.2)Many louvers are thin and flexible and not really designed to hold a big load. If your louvers look especially delicate this might not be the right unit for you.3)Louvers are flexible so, vent-mounted attachment will never be perfectly rigid. I installed mine away from the middle of the louver and close the place where the louver attaches to the vent housing. This is where the louver flexes the least. The attachment is secure but, if I were doing some real rugged off-roading I’d probably put my phone back in my pocket.

Easy installation
Received it yesterday. Took minutes to install. Looks good. Feels secure. We’ll se how it holds up.

Good for the money
Solid fit very sturdy when holding phone.

Vent mounts for phones typically block the air flow, thereby reducing the effectiveness of the vehicle’s air conditioning. I really like that this mount allows you to position the phone in such a way as to not block the air flow. Another useful feature is it’s ability to “lock” onto the air vent and so it is very sturdy. I have been using this mount of about a month, and I am very pleased with the purchase.

I’ve probably been though almost 10 cell holders since I bought my car in 2015 and until now, they all were frustrating and they all broke. This Rorhxia Holder is BY FAR the most incredible unit I’ve ever used. Solid, easy to use, super functional.
