Great Product and Customer Support
The Cielo Breez Max mini-split thermostat delivers all of the advertised features.Installation could not have been easier. It immediately identified my mini-split make and model, to take control of the unit.Just follow the step-by-step instructions to download the Cielo application, connect the Cielo thermostat to the home network and register the thermostat in the application.Iâve found that the âComfy Modeâ provides the best control for my application. However, I may try the âComfy Maxâ feature that effectively programs the Cielo t-stat to function as an auto-changeover thermostat.Geo-Fence and filter-status are among the many features that make this a great product.Iâve checked the accuracy of the temperature sensor in the Cielo Breez, using an industrial quality digital thermometer. The Cielo thermostat sensor is very accurate and responsive. It will provide excellent temperature control in the conditioned space; much better than relying on the sensor in the wall mounted indoor section. Be sure not to locate the Cielo thermostat directly in the supply air stream of the mini-split unit.Customer support may be the best of any product Iâve purchased; no kidding. When Iâve called Cielo with questions, there is no long wait time (on hold) and the representatives are very knowledgeable.I normally donât write reviews; however, Iâve made an exception because of this products features, price-point and customer service.

Good product and support
I have an old Friedrich A/C window model and it was not paring correctly at the start, but the support solved the problem right away in less than 10 min. Like the other reviews, the support is very easy to access, friendly and efficient. Itâs been 2 months now and the thermostat works as expected and keeps the temperature in a comfortable range that I donât freeze at night anymore, plus help to save energy. The only cons for me were that the manual had only the very basic installation instructions and not the description of the functionalities available. To set up the temperature range, I had to watch some YouTube videos to find that the eSaver was the option; and the thermostat doesnât work fully with Alexa. Itâs only to turn on and off basically. Overall, Iâm really happy that I found this product and itâs a good value for the money.

Smart phone remote control for your mini split
This is a nifty product that turns your smart phone into a remote control for your mini split. I have a Breeze 33 mini split in my pole barn and wanted to be able to turn it on from my house so I can have the barn warmed up when I get out to it.You set this unit somewhere in line of site of the indoor mini split unit. You use the Cielo app to specify what you want the mini split to do (ie turn on and heat room to 65 degrees). The command is sent to the unit which then transmits it to the mini split using IR just as if it was the remote control for the mini split.Another feature I use is to set a timer for how long I want the mini split to run. This is just in case I forget to turn it off when Iâm done in the barn. When the timer runs out the unit sends the âoffâ command to the mini split. This has worked well but the interface for setting the timer is a bit awkward as you need to run your finger around a circle once for each hour you want the mini split to run for. So far, the unit has worked flawlessly for what I use it for.Just a couple of caveats. You need to have a place to put this where your mini split can reliably receive its IR signals. I have it mounted on a wall opposite from the mini split and about 20 feet away from it. Works good there.I found that if you keep the app running on the phone for too long, it loses its ability to respond to your requests so you need to close the app and restart it. Cieloâs customer service helped me with this.Iâve contacted their customer service twice, once by phone for help programming the unit to send the proper IR codes for my mini split brand; once by their web site chat feature. In both cases I got a live knowledgeable human without waiting who provided quick and complete answers to my questions.This product was a very affordable solution to my needs.

Great device and EXCELLENT customer service!
I purchased the Breez Max because I wanted to have the ability to set schedules for my new mini-split system as I had been able to do with my traditional HVAC system I had just replaced. This unit gives me MORE control over my heating and cooling system than I’ve ever had before AND lets me control the system while away from my house. Ultimately, I contacted customer to get a better understanding of the more advanced features of the Breez Max…and had one of the best customer service experiences I have had in YEARS!
