Very easy installation!
Installed the QL820NWB on a wired network and use a Mac Mini (Sonoma OS) to print. The desktop software for the Mac is very easy to use and typical of Apple software, the printer was found without any intervention by me (nice). I was impressed with all the available fonts and graphics images. Tested printing on continuous rolls in portrait and landscape, both perfect results. I made this purchase after reading other product reviews that were very negative or mentions returns and quality issues. The QL820NWB printer is being used by me in my office to label systems, network equipment and cables. And for anything else where a label can be used. Great product and great results.

Good label maker for small business network & works for prescription labels.
So far this is working well for my small business office. I set it up on our network, and am happy to say it was pretty straightforward as long as you have some experience with setting up static ip adresses and installing drivers and programs on multiple computers. For some reason all of the label makers i have used are more difficult to set up on a network than regular printers, but this one was much easier than the zebra printer, and stays connected, unlike the dymo printer. Yes, I am on my 3rd label printer due to network connection issues… If i ever need to purchase another one i am hoping that they come up with a plug and play model. That said, I am using it for prescription labels. Although the labels that I needed to use with my office software are a little big for prescription labels, they work just fine, and the label maker has so far been very reliable to use from any computer in our office. I also like that this machine gives you the option of using several different size labels, which you have to set up on each computer with the p touch program (or it will not let you print anything), so it has more potential uses than the other label makers I have used. Overall happy with this label maker.

Network capability, quick excellent quality printing and easy to use.
The Brother QL-820NWB is a great little printer. The most important feature to me was the ethernet port. The printer can be used through WIFI but not many manufacturers make a printer that can be wired. The printer was easy to configure on the network. The printer offers quick printing and boy does it print clearly! The printer will only use label stock made by Brother. However, there is continuous roll stock available. Again, hard to find continuous roll stock for these types of printers. The printer also offers 2 color printer, red and black. That is pretty sweet! This is a very economical printer, no ribbon to replace, no messy ink or toner. The supplied software can be a little confusing, particularly if you have change from one color to two color stock. I had to contact Brother technical support for assistance. However, support was great and got me up and running! We use this printer to label tools, bins, and shelves. Perfect for business/industrial use!

How did I ever live without this?
I would give it five stars, but it took longer to install than I would have liked. Granted, I was going for a more complicated installation then just push and play. It is now up and working seamlessly on both my Windows 10 machine and my Galaxy S8 plus phone over my home wifi system.I will be using it to label the tops of cans of food in my cupboard. I have them in Ben boxes that I can slide out of the shells, and I want to put the name and the total calories on a sticker on the top of each can so I don’t have to pull them out and look.I am also going to put little round. Stickers on the top of all of my spices so I can see at a glance what they are.

Great wireless label printer with battery option to be completely wireless. Brother got this product right!
Just got the label printer to replace my older QL-720 which was very hard to setup. The new 820 is a welcome addition. I setup the WiFi manually with no issues. I even turned on the Bluetooth which my phone could connect. No documentation was needed! I loaded Brothers iPrint/label app for both my iPad and my android phone from the app stores. I was able to print labels via wifi network and Bluetooth with no issues. I havenât tried my computer yet but I expect it the work without a hitch using the P-touch editor software. My next purchase will be a battery and I will be totally wireless to print welcome labels at church. This is a great product over the 700 series!! Great job brother.

20th Century Interface
The Mac P-Touch Editor software was last updated in 2018. Installation requires the “square” USB to USB cable. Modern machines with USB C connections require an adapter. And how may modern devices can only be set up via USB?The Quick Set-Up Guide is incomplete and confusing. But when it works, a really high quality label is printed.

Excellent build quality. Mobile and portable. This little machine operates fast and downable software to help you print templates from is very easy to use. The fact that you can also use batteries to operate it anywhere instead of a wall plug makes it a winner. I literally bring this machine between multiple store visit and not worrying about power!

A good label maker for office sharing. Printing speed is fast. The problem is its poor software description. That is why other reviews complaint about difficult installation for networking. Read carefully the network setup on the printer side, then go to the official web site to download and install software.

Love this printer does and excellent job. There is a delay in the software to identify the medium.
