Is just thin strip. Requires multiple accessories and a little tricky to add 90* transitions. By far the best aesthetic, brightness, and effects.

My first LED project and works! Good customer service
On my first order, I didn’t know what I needed for the project, I ordered per some videos. But the seller contacted me suggesting tips and even saw my plan for suggesting better way to make it better. Before you order would highly suggest:1) Calculate the power needed for the length per the description. Then Order the power supply.2) Wifi controller per each zone and all that can be controlled using a remote. Remote is a little bit flimsy and also app through wifi. Using bluetooth inside the app works great.3) Connectors – L shape connectors (90 degree turns), extension wires (when your measurement is between 2 cut points) and clip connectors (join two led strips) are usually what you need4) Making a connection is tricky but once hooked it stays. Like you gotta use the flat pliers with a nice and easy snap! I have failed sometimes bending (toomuch side force) or loose (you gotta push the wires isnide as you can)5) Stickiness is something I am still trying to question like it looses it eventually I think, I guess we have to buy an extra thing double sided tape in the future to strengthenI gice it 5 stars as the customer service was excellent and light turned out to be great. There is a learning curve to do this project. Have patience!

12v is bright enough for me, uses nearly 4.5A on white
I wanted to upgrade my old LED strip with this to avoid the points-of-light effect, and they really do look good. I got the higher density 144 led/meter (720 total for the 5M strip) and I couldn’t really find out what the power draw would be. Too many different answers here, so here’s what I found.Hooked to my bench power supply set to constant 12V, on any of the solid RGB colors it draws about 1.4A, and when it’s on white (mixed white, so all RGB would be on at the same time) as expected it draws about 4.3-4.4A total.Right now I have it doing a RGB chasing, with a few other colors thrown in (cyan, white, yellow) and the draw is 2.5-2.6A.Overall, if you’re looking for a power supply and need to know how many amps you’ll need, it could work with 5A but you’ll be happier if you get one that’s overrated to avoid dropping the voltage too low when it’s all white. Go with 6+ at least, but might as well get a 10A supply and call it good.I haven’t installed it yet but it looks like the adhesive strip should work as well as my last one, which stuck pretty well.I paired mine up with an SP630E controller and so far that’s working well too with these lights. No complaints.

Not very good
Couldn’t get it to work and tried everything but it failed. BTF usually has good strips but this one failed. Returned and ordered another COB strip from them.

Everything has been worked out and I really like the strip.
6/25 update. After dozens of emails, “Billy” at BTF came through for me. He asked the correct questions and agreed that the strips I received were bad. He put in an order for replacement, (since they were out of stock) and I received a new strip that works as expected.The strip is as good as I had hoped. I love the “neon” look while also being addressable. They really look fantastic. I would have given 5 stars but I had to buy a new controller for verification that old strip was actually bad, and not just the DIY controller I was using. It was a bigger hassle than I wanted but the customer support was pretty good. (At least Billy was helpful). I seriously would have given 5 stars if not for the issues while troubleshooting and having to fork out money for another controller. I’ve purchased a lot of BTF products and this is the first time I’ve had issues. All’s well that ends well.—————————————————————————6/14 update. I tried working with the seller for a resolution, but there’s a lot lost in translation. They seem to be trying and have offered a refund, but this is a review of “free” product, so that’s not really an option. I actually bought a BTF-controller to see if it made any difference, but it didn’t. (I REALLY wanted these to work). I’ll see if they send me another strip that works and will update then. Fingers crossed.——————————————————————————I have been trying to get these to work with my ESP8266 controllers without success. I run a bunch of LEDs with these same controllers at Christmas and they work really well with the 5v WS2811 IC. I assumed this strip would be the same. I provided 24v to the strip and used a converter to take the 24v down to 5v for power to the ESP8266 controller. The D4 pin of the ESP provides the data to the LED strip. I share the ground to the controller and strip and have tried a few different online blogs, but can’t seem to get this strip to work. I got a response from the seller, but they asked me to provide video directly to their email instead of corresponding through Amazon. Although I buy a lot of BTF lighting stuff, that just seems sketchy. I responded through Amazon and will see what support they offer. Hopefully it’s a simple fix and I will update this review.
