This is fun!
I have been sick so I’m just now getting around to trying this Smart Animated Curtain String Lights out. This is so much fun. It was very easy to use right out of the box. We hung it up (backwards at first) and went into the back yard to see the effects. We then had to go turn it around the right way so we could read it. You link it to your phone on the app and you’re on your way to lots of fun for any holiday. My son set it up for us and really enjoyed it. He was still playing with it when we all went in for supper. You can do text on it and can read it perfectly. We put Merry Christmas and some silly things, we put up the US flag, Santa Claus, Valentine hearts, anything we could think of. This is really big, 6.6 ft by 6.6 ft, and you can see and read it from quite a distance. The colors are bright LEDs and really very colorful. This is going to be great fun at parties and for every holiday we have. I would very highly recommend this for those who want something unique for parties and just to send a holiday message from your front porch.

Cheap Alternative to Govee
If you want something will blow your socks off, you are going to have to pay for it. This is not going to be it. Everything feels cheap, except for the controller.The 6.6ft (2m) lights come with the light curtain, a remote, a power supply, and a booklet (I’m not going to call it an instruction manual, because it isn’t).As mentioned, the remote actually feels pretty good. I mean, it’s cheap plastic, but I wouldn’t expect anything more than that. Besides, you can always use your phone.The app: As far as led control apps, this one isn’t bad. It connected in under 5 seconds. There is nothing you extra you need to do once you login and give permission to use Bluetooth. As long as the lights have power, the app will quickly find them. From there, you can use any of their included gifs, animations, scenes, etc. They do have quite a few already out of the box. You can even make your own GIFs, static images, or send text that scrolls across the lights.The Lights: This is some of the thinnest wire I’ve ever seen on an LED, but I suppose the individual cells don’t need much power. They are all coated in a layer of plastic that goes over both the wire and the cells. Mostly likely fairly weather resistant. The “T” shaped connectors contain a hook that faces to the side. If you want to mount these on nails, then it works great, not so much for a string, curtain, shelf, etc. The hooks themselves seem well made and withstood me clipping them on to a few things. The pictures all show weights at the bottom of the curtain, which didn’t come on mine. Each string ends with a cell and about 1/2″ of wire.Final Thoughts: Good enough if you want to get your feet wet in the LED world. Also good if you are looking for something for the kids to play with or want to add some movement to a room. These are quick plug and play, hang it on the wall, open the app, and you’re done. If you are looking for something that looks professional, try a known brand like Govee.

Feature-packed!
These are super cool lights packed with features. The image display feature is the only let down as there aren’t enough strands close enough to really make out any sort of image but that’s a small issue that doesn’t bother me all that much. The coolest feature is the music feature where it “animates” the lights to whatever music you have playing. You can use this feature with all sorts of various patterns, the coolest being the “sound bars”. This will be a lot of fun for kid’s birthday parties, etc.

Nice, but no playlist or multiple option
They are nice, but you can’t program to go through a bunch of different options, like a playlist or multiselect. You get one and that is it. Other smart LED Christmas decorations have playlist options.The built in graphics are also not super clear and hard to really tell what is what. Some are really good and cold though.A little refinement and this could be a 5 star product.

Awesome curtain string lights, with custom graphic options
After reading all the details, I opted for the smaller curtain light; this was due to the fact that they both have the same number of LEDs and therefore, the density will be better on the smaller one. I am not disappointed; the lights are bright and can be controlled with the inline controller, with the remote control, or the best option is by using the app – The app gives you a lot more options and is also where you get the ability to make custom designs.This is going to be a popular item on all the various holidays throughout the year, as I can custom display something for them all. So far, everything works perfectly, and the quality is pretty good; it is certainly good value for the money.

I wanted to love this
I received a defective unit that was missing its power adapter. I used a spare to power on the unit only to find out that it did not work correctly. Only half of one strand would light up at all. I really had high hopes for this product and really looked forward to using it. My experience is probably not a normal one.

It was a pain to stretch out and get hung straight without pulling the strands out of alignment. It works okay but you definitely need to have the right place for it out of the wind and where it can be fully extended and secured without stretching it out.

This thing is so fun. I put it up for christmas but will definitely be using it year round. I’m using it inside but it would work well over a garage door or in a window as well. You do need to be 20ish feet away before you can really see the design, otherwise it’s just a jumble of lights. Lots of great templates to start with in the app AND you can design your own! Like that I can use the app or the include remote for functions. Highly recommend
