Sound quality from the mic is very good. Switches and volume control hold up very well long-term.
This is the second one I have purchased for a new set of headphones I own. I had one previously for my Philips SPH-9500 headphones and they have lasted very well for almost 2 years now surviving cat bites and daily use. As others have said the pop-filter is terrible and does not fit well but the mic is directional and doesnât really need it as long as you donât put it almost inside your mouth. Sound quality is fantastic, Iâve never had any complaints about sounding muffled or unclear when using these. Iâve actually unplugged the headphones from these and used them just as a camera mic for my girlfriend when she was doing an interview for the magazine she works at.Perfect for gaming, but do note the quality is so good people will be able to pick up conversations from across the room or your PC fan while playing. The mic toggle switch works very well and hasnât gotten sloppy or stopped working at all after 2 years of use. Same with the volume wheel. Overall Iâm very impressed 5/5 in my book

Works with Sennheiser HD 599
Can confirm it works great with the Sennheiser HS 599. Has a 2.5mm male jack that pugs into the headphones and both a single and dual (with the included adapter) 3.5mm output for audio and mic. Mic almost perfect, but has a small bit of white noise in the background. I haven’t checked if that just due to my motherboard or the USB to 3.5mm adapter though, so it might not be noticeable. Most software should be able to filter it out anyway.

“Works” With Sennheiser Momentum 3.0, but not really
First off, the product does work exactly as advertised (as far as I can tell). I own the Sennheiser Momentum 3 wireless headphones and wanted a cabled mic for voice chat in console gaming. The mic and cable all work fine. Sound gets to my headphones and the microphone output gets to my computer/console.The issue I have is that the headphone end does not physically work with the Momentum 3 headphones out of the box, despite some reviews claiming it does. Now, the product never claimed to work with my headphones so I thought I would take a chance, and I am handy enough to modify the plastic bit to fit, so I cannot fault the product itself. If anything, the blame should be on Sennheiser making different headphone series, all with a somewhat proprietary cable plug and locking mechanism, but with slightly different sized per series. The cables are already differentiated from the rest by the lock, so why make it even worse by making the lock different per headphone?I did get it to work in the end though. Two modifications were made:1.) Shave the end. The connector was slightly too thick to fit in the hole on my Momentum 3s, so I took an Xacto knife and shaved the connector down to make it thinner.2.) From the picture, the Momentum 3 compatible cable is on the left and this one is on the right. I highlighted the shape of the original locking channel in red, and you can see it is too deep. This made it so that even with the shaved connector, I could plug it in but not rotate to lock it. This was fixed by cutting away at the plastic to expand the hole up, towards the connector, which you can just see peeking out above the red highlight. This was also done with an xacto knife. So in the end, with a little bit of effort, I got it to work! Again, I cannot fault the product and I took a gamble purchasing this. Only knocking one star off as it is quite pricy for what it is. Similar, slim, in-line mic cables (with official Momentum 3 compatibility) are available for less than half the price, but their sound quality will probably suffer compared to the boom. In the end, I wanted the boom arm, so I went with this.

Amazing microphone in a more unconcentional form factor.
I ordered this cable as a stand-in for a more substantial microphone setup in the near future, but I’ve gotta say that this thing absolutely blew my expectations! The sound quality of this microphone sounds a tier above what it cost. I work with audio on a daily basis as I’m a part time video editor. If you recorded with this and tuned it, I would have a hard time telling the difference between this and a professionally set-up lav and even some microphone setups. It does lack a little bit of the dynamic range but it captures so much detail that it just about makes up for it. Your voice will sound smooth and crispy with this mic. These are absolutely awesome when paired with gaming. if you’re looking to affix a microphone to an already existing set of headphones or upgrade your audio game in a more unconventional form factor: look no further! This will make you sound so good in games. I literally get asked all the time what microphone I use and they almost never believe me when I tell them it’s a 30 dollar attachable. The cable also comes with an inline clip that has a microphone mute switch and a volume adjustment wheel. It’s a nice bonus to have an easy way to adjust the volume, and being able to mute.If you have the ability to use this on your headphones and were considering a ModMic, this sounds just as good, if not better, than the ModMic 5. You do not have to run another wire to you headphones as a bonus. There are a couple of problems however I personally do not find these problematic: fairly short cable and bulky inline clip. The cable only goes about 4-5 ft, but it can be extended. The inline clip is pretty useful, but this thing dangles around and can be annoying.Overall, I would absolutely recommend this over a lot of microphones out there! It has fantastic audio quality and features for the price.

Stopped Working
I bought this a month and a half ago to connect my beats studio 3 to my playstation 4 pro and at first everything worked great, mic and audio were both clear. I play fortnite for about an hour or two everyday and the mic suddenly stopped working. I initially thought it was an in-game bug or user error so I checked epic games, restarted the game and console, and reset my settings, however it never worked again. The audio still sounds good, somewhat spotty and staticky but the mic is completely out. For the price itâs not that bad since you at least get a month to save up for an actual headset, but based on other reviews the mic is always a problem and sure to fail after some use.

So my Headset broke recently and I didn’t have enough money for a new one, I got great bluetooth headphones (Sony WH-CH 720N)And while I could talk and listen, the audio was crap and it wasn’t working with discord as it always disconnected the mic, so I bought this for 15⬠and it turned my Headphones into a great headset, it’s a great gadget and a life saver for me.I greatly recommend it!ðâââââ

fits like a glove on HD598. good mic quality, cord could have been a tad longer and it would be even better

Parfait, je l’utilise avec mon casque JBL, s’adapte très bien. Je l’utilise quand je suis au bureau (open space) et sauf brouhaha intense on n’entends pas les collègues à côté quand je suis en réunion.

Rather than buy a new gaming headset for my Xbox, I hoped this would allow me to use my Sony over-ear headphones and be able to chat. It fits the bill perfectly.Simply plug the mic into the 3.5mm line-in part of the headphones and then into the Xbox controller. It is then picked up as a typical headset.People I chat with say the quality of the mic is good and the device itself fits easily into my headphone case. The little clip attached to the cord also helps keep things tidy.I would definitely recommend and will likely buy more for my kids’ headphones when their current gaming headsets wear out.
