When Leofoto came on the scene about 10 years ago, they changed the photo accessory business immediately. They make very high quality photo accessories, as in tripods and ball heads and many other items, and they build them well. The biggest to the industry change is that their pricing is very reasonable. They’re certainly not cheap, now would I want them to be, but them have forced other manufacturers to provide quality products at a price that will compete with Leofoto.This particular camera mount, is designed to be used in a vehicle, to mount your camera, often with a long lens, and photograph from inside the vehicle. I can attest from experience, that various birds or wildlife, will almost walk or fly up to a vehicle, whereas if you stand next to the vehicle they won’t come close. That gives the wildlife photographer an excellent advantage. I have driven many wildlife loops with a vehicle mount and gotten shots I would never have been able to get if I left the vehicle.This particular vehicle mount is made with Leofoto’s attention to quality. It is built in three pieces that combine to give you a platform with two hangers to mount on the side or the window of the vehicle, or if you have a convertible, onto the front. The base then is infinitely adjustable and provides a 3/8″ screw on a leveling base, to which you can attach a ball head or a fluid head, and then attach your camera and lens.There was a time when a rig like this could easily cost upwards of $800, but today, this Leofoto camera window stabilizer is priced at $189. And its weight capacity of 22 pounds, means my large format camera and 400mm lens, will have no trouble at all being mounted with this rig. I love it!This is a top quality product, from an excellent company known for its products and excellent customer service, and I highly recommend it.
