RARE best printer for QUALITY prints AND excellent quantity of prints
I am a professional artist. I have been using inkjet printers for over 4 decades. Canon is now my preferred printer.WHY? 1. Great size. I live in NYC where space is tight! The footprint of this printer is great. 2. Obtaining quality paper through Canon is easy and affordable. AFFORDABLE. 3. Same applies to the ink, though honestly I use off brands that work for canon printers with great success. 4. QUANITY of prints. I have never gotten so many great color prints. B/W prints come close to 100 on a single cartridge. My only grift is the set-up, as many complain about. Don’t waste time trying to connect via WiFi. The USB cable works great and your’e up and running in minutes. HIghly recommend.

Works Well for what it is
Does not have automatic double sided printing. You have to do double sided printing manually with this printer. And the ink supply runs out pretty quickly. But it is a cheap laser printer. And most cheap laser printers have a limited ink supply. So it is pretty normal for a cheap laser printer.The photos are pretty good for a cheap laser printer. But again, do not expect to get a lot of prints off the limited ink supply.If you want a lot of printed projects that use a lot of ink, get a large capacity printer. They are more expensive than laser printers. But they can give you more printouts before you need to put in more ink. Unfortunately, with some large capacity printers you have to refill the ink yourself because they do not have easy to replace cartridges like the laser printers. And avoid recyclable or reusable ink cartridges. They can leak and ruin your printer.This printer is a good quality laser printer, despite the manual double sided printing. It will function as well as any other laser printer brand and print nice quality pictures. Just remember, is a laser printer. They will mess up your prints at times due to ink clogs, human error, and occasionally internet connection problems. It is something that they will all do. But this printer will scan and print very clear pictures and documents. Canon also sells cameras. They know good quality photos when they see them. Try out their cameras sometime too. They are wonderful once you learn about them and are not too complicated to use.

It’s Inexpensive
As others have noted, the build is very “cheap”. Almost afraid to touch anything on this printer for it may break. The basically all plastic construction feels rickety. The printer’s 2-line old style LCD w/o backlight display is a pain. The menu settings are very basic. Typing in a complex Wi-Fi password is a pain using the 10-key pad. You have to toggle between upper/lower case, numbers, and symbols without being able to see what you’re keying in. There is no option to SHOW the password as you’re keying in. I had to dig out a USB printer cable from a box of old cables to directly connect to laptop that is only connected via Ethernet…never use Wi-Fi at home.The phone app doesn’t work with older Android phones…so that’s a huge negative. The app installs, but can’t connect to the printer even though everything works fine with a newer Android phone, i.e. Z Fold running Android 14. The app is huge too…109MB base size!The lack of an Ethernet connection is a big negative, as well. Now to the functionality of the print function…The printed pages are nice and crisp, but seems to use a inordinate amount of ink. Printed off about 9 pages of the printer network config from the setup menu…the blank ink level shows a drop of 1 out of approx 10 levels. That’s crazy!!!! It’s a good thing I really don’t print much on paper anymore, but if you need to print a lot of pages…don’t even want to think about the expense of constantly buying replacement ink cartridges.I only bought this printer for my occasional need to print return labels and legal documents that require a hand signature to be sent back in electronic form. The auto-feed scanner, 2-sided printing, and low price for these features are the main reasons for this purchase.Summary:Pros – Auto-Feeder, 2-sided printing, low-priceCons – Setup is a pain, 2-line old style LCD w/o backlight, lack of Ethernet connection, lack of any real printer manual, have to search online how to change the printer admin password for remote print functionJust be prepared to be frustrated if during initial setup.

Great printer at a great price!!
This printer is just like one of the big office printers. Everything on it is easy to use. Getting it set up was easy. The printing quality is fantastic. Scanning is really easy and great quality of what ever you are scanning. I haven’t used the fax but I’m sure it’s easy. What’s really nice is the ink cartridges. They are not expensive at all. Everything about this printer is great. I highly recommend this printer!!

mobile app for this printer is AMAZING
I bought this to replace a older model of the same printer and when setting it up I found out that Canon has a mobile app.New Setup procedure1. connect printer to wifi via printer onboard menu2. get canon app and have it find printer3. you are done. that was itYou can push documents from your phone email app to the canon app to print, and when you want to scan you just hit scan in the app and then push the resulting document to your email app. It works perfectly and is a million times better than trying to get the drivers and software working on a computer.I am so happy with this app!The printer also worked great and the printed and scanned documents were VERY sharp

El plástico es de muy baja calidad. Muchas funciones son manuales. El ADF es muy malo, te arruga las hojas y todo sale chueco. No es ahorradora de tinta y los cartuchos muy caros. Son mejores las HP!
