Notice: This product was received at no charge as part of the Amazon Vine program but this is an unbiased review.The fanxiang SSD external drive is small enough to easily carry 1TB of files with you. It utilizes the latest USB 3.2 Gen 2 up to 520MB/s read/write. It uses a USB-C connector or you have a USB-A adapter on the cable if you have no USB-C port, and it comes in a sturdy aluminum case. It connects to the computer through USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. It’s formatted in exFAT so it works with a Windows or Mac computer without you having to format anything.This drive is fairly fast. I used some analytic software to do a speed test, and it comes in as a moderately fast drive. You can see the results in the attached photos. It is fast but it’s not as fast as my internal SSD drive that runs my computer. It’s less than half as fast as that fast drive. The only concern is the testing software found 31K bad sectors. When I tested other drives that I was evaluating in the past there were no bad sectors on those drives. I ran a first aid program on this drive and nothing was seen on that test that they said needed fixing. This is something that I will continue to watch.I also tested to see how fast a big file reads and writes.Here are the results.An 8.4 GB video file copied in 15 secondsAn 8.4 GB video file wrote in 19 secondsAll the files transferred without a problem and there was no corruption of any of the data.All in all, this is a fast enough drive to back up or transfer your data so you can take it with you.

Seems like a pretty well built external drive. The transfer speeds are pretty fast. I like that it has a switch to put it in read only mode.

It’s really a terabyte, and I tested transfer speeds by backing up one of my hard drives to it, then ejecting it, then verifying its contents, then cleaning the drive by deletion (not by just formatting). It’s very fast, as one should expect from an SSD.I wouldn’t use it for everyday purposes that do a lot of temporary writes because, like any other SSD, it “wears” quickly when it’s written… at a much higher rate than rotating hard drives do. It’s good for a lot of writes per location, though, so it should be excellent for high-speed backups. I’d strongly advise always backing up to at least two different drives, of course, so you always have at least one good copy (stuff happens).It’d be great for a traveling large-capacity Linux boot disk, of course. Linux is inherently far more drive-thrifty than Windows is.

Il est compact et performant, et peut se brancher en USB ou USB type C (adaptateur fourni).Les vitesses de transfert sont plus que correctes, et sa taille miniature et son tout petit poids permettent de l’embarquer facilement dans une poche.Je recommande vivement !
