Built-in AI Tracking Gimbal
How to use the AI tracking feature?
1、Confirm that the AI power is turned on: left slide on the main page > More Settings > AI Power, the AI indicator light will be red when it is turned on; or triple-click the F1 key to turn on the AI power.
2、Start tracking: ok gesture, green light means successful tracking; or directly long press F1 key.
3、End tracking: Thumbs opposite Direction gesture, or directly long press F1 key, or again ok gesture.
How far away is the Smartphone remote gimbal?
Smartphone into Feiyu SCORP APP control gimbal distance ≤ 30m (related to mobile phone Bluetooth signal strength)
What should I do if the gimbal shakes when I turn it on?
(1) Make sure the gimbal is balanced in all axes.
(2) Make sure the screws on the sliding arms and the quick release plate are all tightened properly; Move the camera closer to the tilt axis; Use the lens holder if the lens is not a short one.
(3) In case the motor power does not match, please go to motor power settings and choose Auto Tune.
What should l do if one of the axes keeps rotating on it’s own?
You can switch to non-all-follow mode then slide left on the main page and select “Gimbal Setting” >”Horizon Calibration”>”Auto Calibration”

Overkill for my needs but works great so far
I got this to do some basic steady shot video of my astronomy club’s stargazing parties and outreach events to create some promo content to show off who we are and what we do. At first try, figuring out up from down on this thing is like wrestling an octopus, but eventually it makes sense and becomes pretty easy to use. With a little practice, the basic controls become a bit like second nature.I’ve never used other similar products so I can’t make any direct comparisons, but I have extensive familiarity with a wide variety of electronics in general and would say this seems pretty well built. With reasonable care I expect it to last me several years without an issue. So far everything has been smooth motor movements and felt easily sturdy enough to handle my Sony a6000 with a mid-range zoom lens on it.I still have a lot more to learn about using this thing and need more practice to meld my movements as cleanly with the simultaneous movements of the stabilizer so we work together as one, but so far I’m having fun with it and it’s smoothed out a lot of my shots compared to what I was getting when just holding the camera by hand. Happy buyer, so far.

Cinematic Videography
PRODUCT/THOUGHTS:This FeiyuTech Scorp 2 Kit is the standard version so it doesnât come with the case that you can get with some other kits, however, you still have everything you need to get started filming with your camera in a cinematic style.These Gimbals are fantastic and do have a learning curve, so I recommend you check out as many online videos and tutorials that you can. It might take you a while but itâs worth it and youâll be a pro once you figure it out all out. You can use these kinds of gimbals, for lots of things. I mostly use it for product cinematic shots, but if you are into movie filming, documentaries..etc this all works well for this.The touch screen and A.I. features are great and to me they seem alot better then they used to be thanks to software improvements.I like the construction and it comes off as well done. It’s not made cheaply, and they use good materials. This supports up to 5.51LB of load so make sure you check your current camera rig specs for its max weight.I believe you can get adapters if you want to use this on smaller things like Phones, Action cameras..etc but they do have the Mini version if that’s what you shoot with solely.Can Recommend this.

Won’t stop vibrating
First, presentation is nice, however, I have another gimbal from Hohem that came with an actual carrying case which is way nicer than a box with a handle.Second, FeiyuTech support is very pleasant to deal with but very slow and ultimately was unable to help me with my problem. I would email them at midnight and they would reply 23 hours later which happened 3 times in a row. They were unable to offer a real solution.Third, the Scorp 2 will not stop vibrating. I have it perfectly balanced as verified by both the app and by support who I sent a video of proof. The tilt motor won’t stop vibrating and it would transmit what sounds like an A/C line hum into the camera’s audio.Fourth, the replacement Scorp 2 was 50x worse. When I put it on the ground, it feels like sitting in an old car with an unbalanced 4 cylinder engine, idling at too low of an RPM, with 3 broken motor mounts.Besides being completely problematic, the battery does not last all that long and also tends to heat up, probably both related to the vibration. The 2nd Scorp 2 lasted maybe 2 minutes and turned off. The 1st Scorp 2 lasted probably around 15 minutes from a full charge.Real shame, I really wanted to like the Scorp 2. I’ll be sticking to my Hohem MT2. Not nearly the same weight class but at least the Hohem MT2 works.Unrelated, but the 2nd Scorp 2 had the GUI on Chinese by default. The first one was English.

Large Payload
I am going to focus on the 5.5lb payload. While I could probably choose a gimbal that supports a smaller load, this allows some leeway if I ever get a large camera. If you don’t choose a gimbal that can support the weight of your camera and any component you add to it, the gimbal will have a hard time balancing. This is a sleek gimbal, however like any gimbal you need practice and patience, and a bit of brawn to walk around with it. You’ll have to re-balance with each lens you use because the gimbal has to balance 3 axes.

Perfect gimbal for my ZV-E1
I have been using Feiyu Tech gimbal for a while. This newly designed Scorp 2 is perfect for my Sony ZV-E1 camera. I have been using it with my 24-70 GM lens. The Scorp 2 is very stable, and works great with this setup. The new AI tracking is amazing, I am able to use it to track person, or movements without any additional device. It is very easy to setup, took me only about 5 mins to get everything setup, and balanced. The only thing I kind of missed is carrying case. This only comes with a foam box, that fits the gimbal. But no more carry cases. I hope Feiyu will bring back the carry case again in the future, or have different kit options.
