The best of the best when it comes to paper shredders.
I have used a fellows paper shredder in my home office since they were first introduced back in the 1980’s.My office manager overloaded it as she always did when cutting up CD’s. Again that shredder was almost 40 years old. I found another Fellows shredder like the one I had. They have been upgraded somewhat over the years and it works much better then the old one. I paid a lot of money for it. But I know my new shredder will be around long after I am gone.

    A trustworthy shredder
I’m glad I picked this one after a lot of hunting online. It works well and hasn’t got jammed. It hasn’t overheated even after using it for a long stretch. The shredder gives warnings if the drawer isn’t fully closed. There’s even a slot of shredding cards and it works well. The size is compact too. I strongly recommend it!

    Quietly Shreds
This is one of many Fellowes shredders I have owned over the years and this model is by far the best. It is quietly powerful. It is perfect for home use. One of the best features is the slide out basket. In older models, I had to lift the shredder unit to empty the basket. This powerful unit handles mostly anything fed to it with ease. It is a workhorse in that you can continuously shred without the unit becoming over heated. The design is elegant and sleek with controls and displays in plain sight. For the price, it is a bargain. I would gladly recommend this unit to anyone seeking a no nonsense shredder that will perform for years to come.

Good for What it Is – Strip Cut!!!
Purchased to replace a 10+ year old 12-sheet crosscut Fellowes that had been going strong until I damaged it irreperably by recklessly feeding too much paper at one time out of impatience while trying to shred a large stack of old receipts. In my search for a replacement, I failed to notice that this was a strip cut, not a cross-cut. When I found to my surprise that it was much quieter than my old model, I attributed it to an improved motor, but later when my wife noticed that it was a strip cut, I realized that must be the reason the motor was not as noisy. I don’t really care from a security standpoint – nothing we shred is all *that* sensitive – but the cross-cut does significantly reduce the volume of paper – the basket fills up at least twice as quickly than our old basket. Still trying to figure out if it’s worth trading it in…

    Works, but seems flimsy
Nice shredder, but seems flimsy. The silver door on the top of the shredder isn’t solid and bumping it too hard can trigger the safety and shut off the shredder. The prior version had a sliding child-proof lock, which this version doesn’t. Bring back the slider. The bin slides out to the front, but if it’s not in just right, it will trigger the safety and not shred. So, the system works, but it seems like they skimped on quality.

    Sturdy and convenient.
Sturdy and handles a lot of sheets. I especially like the pull out drawer for emptying so you don’t have to lift off the heavy motor part.

This shredder does the business. It is large and heavy and just feels like it is built to last. The last cheap shredder I bought lasted a few days. This one has got what it takes for normal domestic and home office use.

Excellent unit. Robust and good capacity. Bought to replace an old Fellowes shredder we’d had for about 10 years.
