It’s just ok
This was a refurbished item.It is in pretty good shape. It is several generations old.It is not for windows 11 but that is made clear. After spending some time on Google I did find drivers that worked with my older win 7 computer. It does a good job scanning and is pretty quick.I just think the life time of use will be pretty limited due to the fact there is no more current support for newer system. If you are using an older legacy system this isn’t to bad.

In great condition
This is an older scanner, but very robust and still useful today. It scans just about any type of paper with an entire sheet taking about two seconds. The automatic two-sided scanning is a huge time saver. The software was easy to use, and I am able to eliminate loads of paper documents with this. The scanner arrived in excellent condition in its original box.

Scuffed up and NO instructions…
I knew this unit was renewed, but I expected a little better for renewed. If this is the kind of items you get for renewed, I won’t be buying any. It’s not terrible, just kind of beat up. Plus, given the price of 150, you’d hope for better. So, I can’t tell you how this works. Because it comes with NO instructions. That’s right, no paper work in the box at all. As I look over the product description, it does not say it comes with instructions, under the what is included section. Seems I am dumb for expecting it.I have done some searching and think I found the drivers but not even sure what to download and install. I also do not like installing software that won’t even get used. I am going to keep messing with this and will update this if anything changes, or I get it figured out.Think this company is just trying to get rid of really old products. Would NOT recommend. Plenty of scanners out there, with instructions.

FI-6130 Document Scanner – Capable but Misleading “Renewed” Condition
This scanner, sold as “Renewed,” is fast and capable, but the condition is far from what I expected. The unit I received first went into service in 2011, with 190,000 pages already scanned. The rollers were coated in gunk, and I found hair in the feed area. The top was age-yellowed, except for a shiny black band, and the casing showed significant wear and tear. On the first scan, warnings popped up about two components being near their end of life. While it does work, and initial test scans were decent, calling a heavily used 13-year-old device “Renewed” feels misleading. This is not a plug-and-play deviceâyouâll need to download, unzip, and install drivers manually. If youâre fine with a very used scanner and are willing to spend time setting it up, itâs a good machine in terms of functionality. However, the dirty, scratched, and aged condition left me very disappointed. Renewed should mean something closer to refurbished, not just operational.

Older scanner, but has aged well!
Overall, this is a pretty decent scanner package. The scanner works well (once you find the right software / drivers), scanning double-sided documents very quickly with a high resolution output. I’m using it to quickly scan various statements and letters that for whatever reason still come in paper form. Out of the scanning software (which can be found on the Fujitsu website with a bit of searching), you can get a PDF or JPG that can then be used to archive the data, send it on virtually, etc. The scanner is built like a tank – it’s very heavy but also very solid and does seem like it should be durable for the long haul. You get what appears to be a new USB 2 A to B cable and AC adapter as well as a microfiber cleaning cloth. So that’s a lot of good – high speed, good quality scanning from a durable scanner – then what’s the downside and why did I only give it 4 stars? That comes down to the age of the scanners. Sure, it’s renewed, but this scanner was clearly heavily used – it was manufactered in 2012 according to the sticker on it and was somewhat dusty (though that was easily cleaned with the cloth) in addition to some general signs of wear. It’s therefore somewhat hard to tell how much life the scanner has left though it seems physically ok. It also means that the software and drivers are somewhat hard to find, requiring substantial searching – and that software / drivers package is technically for Windows 10 though it does work on 11 (or I was able to get it to work). Given that it’s already 12 years old though, when will support / driver updates stop? All that said, I do still recommend this scanner if you have a need for high speed / high volume scanning of documents. You might cross-shop it against a new version and see which better meets your needs and pocketbook. But if this is the right price / right capabilities for you, rive it a try today!

Great technology, but make sure it fits your use case!
In terms of this being a refurbished item, it was very hard for me to even tell that it was used. Although this is random for every person who buys it, my unit was in fantastic condition. The major thing about this scanner is that it is an old scanner! Technology has advanced a lot since this was initially released. If you need the new features in scanners, I would heavily advise you to buy another model. This model does one job well. It scans cleanly and quickly. No other bells and whistles. It also does NOT work on Mac. Keep that in mind! The speed and quality of newer and more expensive models will certainly be better. But Fujitsu has been a tried and true brand for me. Their equipment lasts a long time, and you are kind of buying into that with this product. In my use case, I only needed basic document scanning. I like to archive some paperwork, which this scanner does perfectly. I donât need the highest quality, just something consistent that will last a long time. The 1-year warranty comes with all included cables and a microfiber (which was a nice touch).
